My niece has had a 'gap year' before she goes to university this September. She has spent it working 3 days a week at Tesco. They would have offered her enough hours to work a full week, but she said that it would be too tiring, and she wouldn't have enough time for her social life.

A friend's 18 year old boy is doing a very part time barber course. He has to go to London by train (25 minutes at most) for one day a month. He was due to go when we had the hot weather. He wanted to get out of it because he would be too hot and tired by the end of the day. Poor boy I don't know how he coped when he had to do it

I just showed the poster to my DD (who is actually 21 so not a teenager) and got one of these looks She didn't seem to appreciate it.
