Wild hair colours

I can't get my DD to do anything at all with hers. It's down to her waist and all one length. It takes a lot of nagging even to get it pinned back

that's what I was like for years and years, then finally gave in to comments about how much I would suit short hair and did the same as Claret and had it cut to chin length. unfortunately didnt suit it so had to grow it again... I experimented with blonde highlights before going completely blonde and am now trying to get it brown again  it's nearly there had a lot of brown lowlights put in on advice of hairdresser. Wish I had just gone straight back to brown in one go now though as been told I can't dye it while pregnant :(

Pink is a great colour I saw a girl with blonde hair and the last two inches where neon pink, was very 8)

Your daughters hair looks great, I wish i had been braver and experimented with colour when I was younger

DS2 has lovely red hair and his hair style looks the same at the back I tease him about the chicken bottom hair style - he says it's called the shotgun

he had the front dyed black at the front - just the tips looked good

Here's DD - it's green, purple and blue (different shades  ) at the back. They do wash out, this has 2 different reds a pinky purple and orange - which doesn't show up so well. She's fed up now and letting it grow out. She had lovely long hair - all ringlets. Then she uses straighteners. I wanted her hair!

And here's my long hair - it's drying off otherwise it gets tied up or plaited.

Deja vu anyone?

I would have loved to do my hair turquoisey green, but I thought I might upset my folks.

DS (12) is growing his hair to look like Richard Hammond, but I desperately want him to have it cut, well tidied up at least...he then announced he'd like a pink streak like the girl who cuts his hair  .......I don't think so Buddy :shameonu: !!!!

He came down the other day with electric blue hair as they had found some cans of spray hair colour...bless him he didn't have the bottle to go out of the house without a hoody on though :lol: !!!

My hair is mousey brown with slight red tint naturally, I've had bright red streaks put in and another occasion I had copper which looked like I'd been tangoed when it was wet...I found it very hard to be happy until it was dry & wasn't quite so bright...my hairdresser tried to convince me that purple was a good colour......

I think her hair looks brilliant Koojie.

Cleo would love bright hair like that, but as she is still at school, we have to be a bit careful - at least her bleached bit is very short, so will grow out quickly, & she is dying the whole lot back to a natural colour once school resumes in September.

When she is at college in a couple of years it will be a whole different matter................

Nice chicken too

She went on work experience at the hairdressers and they did a purple streak for her. The school wasn't amused when she went back in, but tolerated it until it washed out. What they didn't like was the green hair that she turned with on a Friday because she was going to a concert straight from school - I was inclined to agree - although it was the day they broke up for Easter. She has pushed the limits somewhat.

Red nose day is good for getting away with red hair!

Cleo wore skinny black trousers on the last day of term & I had to come in with a skirt for her.

I could see their point - it was against uniform rules, but she only had one lesson & school ended at 12

I didn't get there til 11, & she had been kept in reception until then - maddening!

Anyhow, how do the school feel about her bleached out streak when the colour isn't in it?

Cleos school doesn't allow any high contrast hair colours at all

I assume her hair has been bleached,as she is so dark, like Cleo?

The day she received her bank card has seen the postman arrive with shoes, clothes, necklaces, belts and hair dyes - there are so many of them!

This is her preferred set at the moment.

DS has had red (he might as well washed his hair in beetroot juice) "Manic Panic".

Hmmm complete with soundtrack!

There are places in the UK that sell the same stuff

The school was quite tolerant with bleached hair/fringes or black hair - or combination of both - colours were not allowed. Quite lucky really. I don't think my old school would allow any colours at all (nuns!!! )

Hmmm, been looking at the colour slide show - I do like the rainbow blended mixes and the green and black looks good. The most odd one is the guy in the suit with orange hair - it just doesn't seem to work well with the clothes! Sadly DD has developed an allergy to the bleach - her skin comes up in bubbles - everywhere! So now we can only use it on the ends rather than an all over job.

Oh to be young and get away with it!

Well I am now torn between two packets of dye. One is a deep mahogany red, the other a bright copper auburn. Yesterday I had my hair cut into a quite sharp fringed bob, so it needs a strong colour to make the most of the cut.

I naturally have mid-brown hair and green eyes, I've been auburn before (and it looked fab), but not mahogany. Which to choose? Any preferences?
