atsw
Well, the chicks have turned 10 this weekend. All are doing very well. They had to cope with the sad loss of their mother last weekend, who suffered a prolapse which was beyond repair, but they have come through that trauma and are now fully integrated with the two remaining big girls. Liquorish did his first crow the morning after we said goodbye to Di. It's a great little cock-a-doodle-doo! So, here they all are enjoying the August sunshine. Cheers Andrew

Patricia W
Andrew So very sorry to hear about Di. It must have been very traumatic. She was an excellent mother and the chicks are a great credit to her care. I hope the children weren't too upset. The chicks are divine! How many are you keeping? atsw
The chicks are divine! How many are you keeping? Yes, they are great fun to watch, we spent all weekend following their antics in the garden! We're keeping Liquorish (the black frizzle cockerel) and the three girls. The remaining three boys have good homes awaiting them, which includes an offer from a fellow Omleteer. Andrew
