Does anybody ever feel ..... Part # 8

Recommended Posts

Back from the pub - we were having a committee meeting JJ! and there was a fellow Omleteer there :)

Lewis is a rubbish chicken father for the second time today :( I went out and the chickens were free ranging, chicks still in the (green eglu) run

....... just got back and the chickens were free ranging, chicks still in the (green eglu) run!

M&T normally have the run door left open and when it starts getting dark they put themselves to bed and we just lock the door, but the run door was shut tonight (probably the wind) so Theodore was in the flowers by the run and Matilda was the other end of the garden in the rabbit hutch that is left open that we never use.

They're safe and sound and locked up inside their house now

 Goody - in that case I'll carry on - if I do 4x will you think I mean Aussie Lager?

In our house presents from parents to children at Christmas have xxxx and Santa always did anything between x and xxx - sometimes there was not enough wrapping around the item to do anything more! I have told Santa that he can wrap his own presents now and do the writing - just because he wanted to save time and of course I offered, but now my two are big, if he leaves any presents, he must do it himself.

Apparently DS and his cuz were moved to a fairly seedy part of SF, and OH's cousin wanted to upgrade them to a better place. OH said nope, they can learn a lot from this experience and they probably think their hotel is a palace anyway. They saw their concert and it was fab - even if it did rain and they got soaking wet (and DS just getting over a cold too  ). They even found 2 other people from Bristol and shared a taxi back to base - otherwise it would have been very expensive. From what I gather they are having a great time and are due to go to Alcatraz today. They couldn't get a night tour - apparently that is supposed to be the most atmospheric, but they got the latest one they could at dusk.

DD had a result at college - she went in for 10.30 and was home at 1.30. She has the rest of the week off, so she is delighted. Last year she had Tuesday as a study day - this year it is a Friday - the cat the got the cream!

So I'm off to bed nearly cos I's tiredy.

Nighty night.

xxx There!

Ditto to Spacey. :D

Guten morgen. Just a quickie hi this morning. Opticians first and then a walk with Jlo - probably in the rain - pooh! Actually looks like drizzley bits from here. :(

I've half cleaned the downstairs loo - well the loo and sink is done, just need to chase the spiders and hoover, but I'll wait till later - there's a pile of sheets to be ironed and blankets and towels to fold. Busy, busy, busy!4.gif

Morning Clous (does any one else remember that advert?!? Just me then, OK I'll get my coat)

Have a lovely walk Koojie, you should walk in South Wales, its beautiful sunshine here :P

Well I left OH for an evening yesterday as went for a walk and a meal with a friend (we've been friends since we were 3!) and he's left the kitchen in one hell of a mess :x

So I shall be cleaning and tidying before I go back to the Drs at 11.30 to get this heart monitor taken off

Hi all I've been doing my couple of hours in the museum this morning. They've moved me to another gallery with some different things. I got to show people a couple of bits of coral, a Unicorn Beetle, a sheep skull and a fox skull. Think I preferred the shark teeth :( Might get better though, there wasn't many people around this morning.

I asked earlier and we can go to a placement of our choice for enrichment :)

Lewis is still gutted about the chicks being boys :( , Blondey is a girl. Hopefully I'll find homes/be able to sell 4 now instead of the 1 which I thought before.

I want to get some new young girls now to go with Blondey before she is integrated with M&T which wont be for a few months - Dad likes Buff Orpingtons (maybe a bantam version) and I really want another Pekin Bantam and maybe a frizzle, but I don't know if I'll be allowed, or where to find them

I was thinking small because the breeder said she will end up 'smaller than a leghorn' and I've been reading and leghorns look like quite a small chicken.

I need to find my auntie + uncle some chickens aswell, so will find out what they want then start looking :D

Hey Lewis...Birmingham is kinda close to Shropshire and Powys....which is where I got my pekins from

Here's the links if your interested.

Alison's Poultry...where I bought Yolko

Perfect Pekins...where I bought Chickpea

There is also the Wernlas Collection..I was going to go there, but they'd sold out..

Not that you have to get pekins or anything

Its sunny here, but still a bit cold.

Thanks for the links JJ, I'd never heard of Perfect Pekins or Alison's but had looked at Wernlas :D

Domestic Fowl trust sell them, but I've not heard very good things about the way their birds are kept so might steer clear :(
