My grandad was giving the bassist accupuncture, so we got VIP wristbands and did VIP -like things. It was fab! It was a good week, but rather tired now and not particularly in the mood for school tomorrow Need to go and have a shower (was horribly hot + stinky side of stage!), but that'll probably wake me up so I won't sleep tonight! Valkyrie Posted September 13, 2009 Share Posted September 13, 2009 Girls and boys it's just your age that dictates your sleeping patterns - you'll be haywire for a while and before long you'll be back to normal - well, sort of, and then you are fine for a while until old fogey stage sets in and then you can't stay up after a certain hour. When you get to be a real old fogey, you sleep during the day and are back to being awake at night - which is like my mum, she usually decides to turn the light out at 3! Had a humdinger of a row with OH - he used my car and left me without any petrol - it was below the red mark and I never let it get that bad. So as I don't have to worry about being on standby for taxi service, I have found the Baileys to drown my sorrows. It's that or eat, I'm afraid. Anyhoo had a nice evening away from him - lovely bath and then he went to bed and I watched Hancock. I thought it was a nice film - raaaather like Will Smith anyway. I also liked a lot of the music so might check out the soundtrack and put it on my Christmas list - although I never get what I asked for anyway, so I'll probably end up getting it for myself. Sorry - in a sulky mood. Tipsy has been really naughty today and will have to get her wings clipped, I'm afraid, until she gets chubbier that is. Squirt is becoming either very daft, or not so scared of us. DD can pick her up most times very easily (can always tell - Squirt squawks a fair amount) and then she is fine. Had a lovely cuddle today - she has the most delightful fluffy bum. Sioux and Patch both had a dose of Vaseline on their feet - when will this blasted mite die? They have everything squirted, sprayed, lotioned, massaged in - and yet the blighters haven't gone. Sioux however seems to be very nippy on her feet - she's very hard to grab now. I thought you'd gone to bed m'dear (ooh gone all old lady on you) Have plenty of veggie oil. DD is getting quite a few stained shirts where she holds and I apply (I'm not that daft ), so thanks I will have a go. And for good measure will put some on their tummies just in case the mites are hanging around there - if the neem oil doesn't work - that should be here tomorrow, post strike permitting. She has a very dark bottom and tail now - her little flagpole - the last remaining feather on her tail - departed a couple of days ago. She looks so small against Patch - who seems to be losing the feathers round her neck now (still very fluffy and not bald). Apache's feet are better, but they never were as bad. The other babes are fine - and Cheyenne never had them at all. But I usually do them all anyway. I will pounce on the other 2 tomorrow. DD has rediscovered the computer - she's been giggling and laughing with friends on here this evening. She has to start college tomorrow. She was supposed to go on Friday, but her tutor called to cancel. She said she was embarassed because she was actually looking forward to Friday - felt she shouldn't be. If she enjoys what she does, that's half the battle isn't it. Well, I must join in with the others and go off to Nod. The eyes are beginning to sting (no it's not the Baileys - I am a very hardened drinker, but don't go down the excess route anymore). Gosh all the things I used to do when I was young! OH doesn't drink at all. Which is strange - his parents drink (a lot), my parents rarely did (although my dad certainly did when he was in the Navy - rum and port apparently - oh the stories he told me before he died, so glad he did, they were funny). So off I jolly well go. Hope all goes well tomorrow. My parents rarely had a drink (my mum would have the occasionally Babycham and Brandy at special occasions, and the odd lager shandy in the summer and my dad had the odd glass of wine or brandy and coke) and I like a glass of wine or two Phils parents on the other hand are quite big drinkers, and Phil is completely teetotal Laura - cry, its good for you, but also remember a problem shared is a problem halved, so feel free to offload on your good friend Spacey any time Have to get ready to go to docs soon, more blood tests and having the 24hr heart monitor fitted Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

SIL is also teetotal. OH will have a Pimms, but it's mainly a slightly darker shade of lemonade, and if he has a bottle of lager he gets giggley (and that would be a small bottle) - any more and he's under the table. Hope everyone has a good day at school and work today. I've worked my way downstairs and cleared out the shoe cupboard, which mainly consists of DD's addiction , found lots for the charity and loads to throw away, all neat and tidy - now I'm sorting out a cupboard in the kitchen - naughty pasta split the bag all by itself and now there is penne everywhere - hence clean out. The monitor is quite big and bulky, and is getting in my way already.
