My nan is 70 ( :shh: she doesn't want anyone to know  ) so were all going round today for a not-party because she 'doesn't want a fuss'

We went to get a cake, easier than it sounds

Waitrose - £15 for a tiny purple thing and nan doesnt like fruit cake!

Sainsburys - all squashed and exploded in the boxes, "I can offer you a discount",

Somerfield - only had a chocolate caterpillar

and finally Costco and got a huge personalised cake with balloons on for £12 8)

Hello guys :D

Griffin, before I start my ramble, I LOVE your hair 8)

Well, as Phil is back to work on Monday, we decided to have a lovely day out together today (this was decided last night), as you know I am a bit of a foodie, so we decided to phone this 2 Michelin Starred restaurant in Cheltenham on the off chance they still had availability for lunch today, they did, we were both very excited.

So this morning, we set off early, via my MILs to drop off Henry and we drove to Cheltenham (2hr drive), had a look around some shops, bought a money box for the girls egg sales money and found an organic food shop, so bought some organic chorizo and salami and some different bread flours.

We then went to the restaurant. The service was excellent and they were very accommodating with my potato allergy, however, apart from the dessert, I have to say the food was nice but you don't expect nice in a 2 Michelin starred restaurant, you expect incredible and it was definitely not incredible. So I don't think we'll be going back there, especially as the meal set us back £150

On the way home, we called off at Raglan Castle which was beautiful, although I was more excited about the field next to the car park which had 3 Warrens like my Donna in it

We arrived home, via MILs to pick up Henry, went out to get our eggs, and the girls had knocked over their massive drinker and all the water (about 10 litres probably) had run out, the other small drinker was empty :( I let them out to free-range and they all went rushing to the places where water tends to be, so they were all very thirsty girls. I feel so guilty, we leave them for a long day and that happens

Its all sorted now and I have given them some mealworms to make up for it :D

I am shattered now though, so will probably have a fairly early night  Not yet though, I'm not as shattered as I was on Thursday

Well shopped Lewis - and happy birthday Nan.

Our driveway is really smart - whahey it's all done now.

Ah Debs - chickens everywhere nowadays - Omleteers paradise. :D

DS went for his interview - turns out he hadn't read the fine print - they wanted over £10,000 for training him. He turned it down - he has learnt from that mistake - young Grasshopper will not do that again.

So he went back to the job centre this morning too. Well at least it sounds like he is trying harder now.

DD is off to a party and Emelda has bought more new shoes. They are a zebra/tiger strip on multi-coloured high heeled ones from her favourite Shuh shop! She has also bought a multi-coloured frilly dress from New Look that has leopard spots all over and it has a black sequined top. It looks very good - especially with her multi-coloured fringe to go with it.

We are having Chinese tonight as we couldn't yesterday - and what ho! They are back - dashes off for the plates. See yooooz!

I love dipping into this thread and reading odd bits of it so this seemed a good place for me to put my 1000th post! I can't believe I've subjected all and sundry to 1000 of my points of view/ramblings or what evers!!!

Anyway keep this thread going you stalwarts - it makes fun reading - maybe one day you could publish it.
