Omletina Kyckling Posted September 28, 2009 Share Posted September 28, 2009 Some of you may remember Åsa, my little leghorn/sussex cross who broke her leg after being with me for a fortnight, and had a cast on her leg for a month! This is her second winter with me and last winter she laid right through but I've noticed less eggs from her in the past week or so, until this weekend when we were off all weekend, and suddenly I got lovely white eggs from her.....so I suspected that she may be laying elsewhere. I just did a check of the garden and found 7 perfect white eggs under the fuschia bush in the garden, together with a little speckled one (she's even leading Stina astray!!) - the girls are fenced in but she must be flying out in a morning, running up the garden, laying her egg, then running back down and flying back in, acting all innocent.
