Omletina Kyckling
What do you tangle teezer owners think? I got mine yesterday morning and I think it is amazing - I have long, curly, often tangly hair and it just brushes through from root to tip with no tangles at all....I'd never have believed it and would never have just bought one in Boots, but listened to advice on here. It's much better than my very expensive Aveda hairbrush!!
Cinnamon
I am really glad that everyone is impressed. Omletina,my hair sister, its great for us,isn't it? It actually makes me look groomed, which I never usually do!
The Dogmother
Right! I'm goignng to get one for Rosie - she's not curly, but has my thick hair and it's always in a tangle. Getting mine cut SHORT tomorrow, I only usually brush it once a day, may not even bother with that when it's short. Haven't had it this short for about 8 years, may be a bit chilly! It actually makes me look groomed, which I never usually do! It does, yes!! It was your glowing report of the TT which convinced me I should buy one as our hair was obviously separated at birth!! By the way, I've yet to see photos of the teal stripe! I'm going bolder with the purple this weekend with some streaks on top as well as underneath....watch this space! Jules.
ChickenNutter has just called at my house & she has lovely shiney sleek hair- she's a great advert for a tangle teezer
chickenNutter
Gosh, thanks Jules, but I think that the shine is more due to the amount of beer I drink than the tangle teazer. I see what you mean about the shape though, but I just did a right hand vs left hand test after what you said, and it actually felt easier in my left hand (despite the fact I am right handed) than in my right! I'd get one if I were you! I also use Tresemme Heat Defence styling spray before I blow dry it, which I find excellent.
Jules.
Thank you for trying out the left v right handed useage I'm going to order one today Hubby wants to find the best site to order from first for his Quidco
Chucky Mama
have ordered 2, one for me and one for DD.If they are good I may get a couple more for Christmas presents for curly friends and family.
Biker Chick
You have got me at it now I have ordered one for myself and if it "does what it says on the packet" I shall order a few more for christmas pressies.
Ygerna
I ordered one for my DD who has lovely long hair. She really doesnt like her hair being brushed, can't blame her, I still recall vividly my mum brushing my hair as a child, telling me it didnt hurt when actually it DID. DD loves her Tangle Teaser. It arrived yesterday and she has used it to brush her hair herself. Normally, I would have to go over it again but, because of the way the TT is held, with no handle she can actually do a really good job with it herself Hooray for omlet power
The Dogmother
We saw them in Boots today and I tried one out on Rosie's hair, but it didn't seem to make much difference. Mine is now so short that it doesn't need it!
Jules.
I've ordered a pink one

Lesley
I went to buy a black one today - and Boots only had PINK - a very violent pink isn't it - I bought it for Lauren.........will give it to her on Wednesday.
Cinnamon
It is You wouldn't lose it in a hurry though!
Sunshine
I went to try and look at one in our local Boots and they didn't seem to stock them. I presumed they should be near all the other hairbrushes? My sister has thick long-ish hair and so i think they would be really good for her. I don't brush my hair very often as it makes it go really frizzy but if we can find one i will definately test it out. It felt really odd to type that i don't brush my hair, it was like i was saying i never wash! (which i do!)
jlo
The one that I bought the other day was this sort of colour. I have to say that I am really impressed with it. DDs hair is really thick and quite wavy. The texture of the underneath layers is also quite co"Ooops, word censored!" and it normally takes ages for her to brush her hair. I had a go first at brushing her hair and it was really easy. She enjoyed it too which is a novelty! Thanks for the recommendation.

Lesley
erm.........it might clash slightly! It's like the flouorescent pink paper you can get I dropped it on the floor when I was testing it - Jazz thought it was a new toy for her and I nearly lost it Sunshine, when I went to Boots there were only 3 pink ones left - and a big space on the shelf where others had been.........must be the Omlet effect! (and OH never, ever, brushes or combs his hair - he has short, very soft, hair and it just doesn't need brushing )
The Dogmother
Lesley, only 3 pink ( ) ones in Banbury too. I only ever brush my hair once a day too; my hairdresser is aghast as all the girls who work for him are high maintenance. Now that it's very short, it's even easier
Paddy
My 7 year old this morning brushed her hair for the first time with a lovely pink tangle tweezer. She squealed 'Mum, Mum it doesn't hurt!" Thank goodness - one less thing to tick off in the morning!
fluffyknickers
I bought mine in August 2008 from Ebay - dont remember there being any other colour apart from PINK!!!
Chucky Mama
Well, mine has arrived and I am afraid it is not a huge sucess. I have semi afro hair and the the teezer's teeth just aren't long enough to penetrate my thick curly hair. When wet it can manage but it is sooo difficult to use as it really needs a handle. I find it is an ergonomic disaster. I definately couldn't go near my hair with it when it is dry as it would make it impossibly frizzy. My daughter with long wavy hair would also turn frizzy if she used it. It may be ok with her hair when wet though but the only on in the house that gets on with it is YS who has short wavy hair. So not good news from this end. If they made the teeth longer and put a handle on it it might work. I contacted the Ebay seller who was fantastic and has agreed to take both brushes back
Jules.
Sorry you've had a bad experience, Chucky Mama. Your ideas for improvements are really good ones. My pink ( don't think the forum has a fluorescent pink colour bright enough to show the true pink colour my tangle teezer is ) arrived yesterday & I'm pleased with it.
