Blackrocksrock
My daughter quite early pregnant for the first time ever in over 12 years of hoping is back in hospital with the bad morning sickness again (hyperemesis) and cannot keep anything down - she is on a drip for the second time in 10 days and I have just come back from visiting and she was much better - very frustrating to be so far away again and would appreciate some good vibes/wishes to help her recovery. I am so so wanting her to be better and enjoy this long long awaited pregnancy which we never thought would happen.

Lesley
Positive thoughts from here as well - my daughter had bad morning sickness the whole 9 months of her first pregnancy and lost weight - she still produced a healthy, bouncing 8 pounder

Guest
oh poor daughter I can sympathise with her. Trouble is all the books talk of such healthy happy pregnant women! I am usually really healthy as soon as I got pregnant it was like being ill for 9 months, horrible cycle of feeling hungry eating to satisfy sick urge and then was promptly sick 24 hours(just like being ill isnt it)? Even now if someone tells me they are pregnant I feel sorry for them as it doesnt bring good memories just of a loo pan! I was always told it meant the hormones were good(but it didnt feel good all day any time) OH was on shift work and as soon as he disturbed me or I stood up off I started. So the reason for letting you know all the above is not everyone has a glorius time. Hopefully it should ease off but the baby wont be affected just your daughter. She is just going to have to put up with it and try to eat something...good luck do feel for her and it was 18 years ago. indie
Mrs Webmuppet
Sending her non sicky vibes..........pregnancy sickness is one of the most miserable things ( I was sick morning ,noon and night for the whole 9 months- I learnt my lesson LMW is an only child!) Hopefully it will pass soon. I was told it was a good sign too. LMW was a healthy plump babe.
Blackrocksrock
Thanks for the good wishes - she was in hospital from wed till sunday and is back in again monday night/this morning early the third time now - constant vomiting and back on a drip all day to-day and feels worse than ever. I hope it does not continue for 9 months in all but she had lovely scan photos yesterday and all in well in the baby department and will be 13 weeks this thursday - just the darned hormones with its mummy!. I am debating going back over this weekend for a long weekend to help them both catch up with house etc.
bigmommasally
I had horrible morning noon and night sickness with my first baby, for some reason jam doughnuts mid morning seemed to settle my tummy for a couple of hours On the days I could physically manage to get on the train in between I would arrive at work looking like death warmed up and the girls I worked with would dash out to the bakery to get me a bag of doughnuts. After a couple I could usually manage a couple of hours work before the returned and I would be sent home I went on to have a 7lb beautiful baby (I was still being sick in labour though ) On a more positive note I didn't suffer anywhere near as badly with my second pregnancy. ((Big hugs)) and positive vibes to your baby girl, hope she gets through it as best she can. She'll forget all about this horrible side effect once she's holding her precious baby. kitchens
My friend had this and everything turned out ok. I completely understand your angst. I'm keeping everything crossed that she gets over this as, apart from her feeling completely lousy it takes the shine off of her much longed for pregnancy. Mrs Frugal
Lots of good vibes to her. I had awful morning (all day, more-like!) sickness from start to finish in both my pregnancies, even throwing up while I was in labour but all went well and I've got 2 strapping teenage boys now so I hope that all goes well for your daughter and that the sickness passes soon.
