How does this work? I am not crafty enough for anyone to want my stuff but after seeing some of the things that other crafty omleteers make I would love the opportunity to get my mitts on some. I know that you are not allowed to use this forum to 'sell' but is there a way that the 'craftyily challenged' like me to get things? Don't worry if the answer is no, just thought I'd ask

Some of the stuff on the halloween thread isn't as good as some of the stuff on the halloween thread! Don't worry and join in! I thought a vaguely festive/winter vibe was supposed to be somewhere in the mix, but that's a very wide thing. People do jams, chickeny stuff, scarves, bags - all sorts - and not all covered in Santas and snowflakes. If it's something you'd like to give or get for Christmas, then that counts as Christmassy.

I had a simnel cake at easter from my swapper and that was great. I'd think a trifle or salad might be tricky , but cakes, biscuits - they work.

I had chocolate brownie type thingys once, and biscuits

 

they were yummy

 

the only rule I have is "it must be home made", sooooo, as long as its home made it will be fine

 

my present with the cakey stuff was a hand painted chicken plate and mug, I doubt that the plate and mug were hand made, but it was hand painted, and that counts its

Just want to add to this, 'cos it IS lovely that more people are joining in. I would just like to say to anyone who is perhaps thinking 'I'd love to join but I am not sure I can do anything'. Of course you can Go for it, if its made with thought and love it is going to be fabulous.

I couldn't agree more, I am not the most confident frafter in the world but things I make I make with thought and as much care I can, however they may not be perfect..

 

I dont think that matters and is not really the aim of the swap as I see it.
