Cinnamon
My dad has a HUGE plant in his conservatory & it flowers every year I really must take a cutting off of it - it is gorgeous with a thick wood like trunk
The Dogmother
Mine is a cutting from one my Nonna had in her glasshouse - it was like your Dad's, Sarah. Feng Shui experts tell you to keep it in the south east of your room for luck with money.. not so sure that it has worked for me though! missuscluck
My mum grows these by the truck load. I think she is addicted to them She keeps giving them to me and then I promptly kill them Her plants flower. Mine never live long enough
Charlottechicken
Congratulations Clare, you must be doing something right My money plant is in the north west of my room
Valkyrie
I had mine on the landing window - loved it there and also had flowers - but only the once. I moved it because it was getting too big for the ledge - and the poor thing has now deceased. Although my mum still has babies from it (still no flowers on hers though). Old Speckled Hen
Oooooh you lucky thing. I have quite a large specimen but it has never bloomed. I found this:- Flowering To encourage bloom, allow the plant to go without water around the time of the first frost. When the days get short, withhold the water completely and let the plant withstand the cool nights. Several weeks of this dry, cold treatment followed by regular watering will result in blossoms around the shortest day of the year. Regular watering, or nights too warm, and the plant will remain healthy, but bloom-less.

Valkyrie
It doesn't flower when you don't water it either, it crystalizes and drops nasty little sharp leaves on the floor that stick in you when you walk in the room with bare feet and the light off. Then it completely keels over.
Lewis
*feels left out* We don't have a money plant - this must be where I'm going wrong!
Valkyrie
They are nice when they behave. They behave well in my mum's house. I neglect everything - which is why I have some fake ones instead!
jenuk99
I have a money plant, no money and no flowers... I already neglect my plants so may try moving it to the south east of the room( opposite to where it is) and see if my fortunes change Jen xx
Seagazer
I shall have to get hubby to get his compass watch on and find the south east corner of the room. Mine has never flowered but is badly treated most of the time. I'm not so good with indoor plants
