ali-s
I found 3 eggs in the nest box this morning Ruby stopped laying in September and the others in August. There are 2 eggs which look identical and I think they are Buttercups She must have laid one after I shut them away yesterday and 1 early this morning. The other is a mystery egg Too big for the Pekins, too dark for Daisy and too light for Ruby. I am guessing that Bubbles laid it, although her eggs were glossy looking and this one is matt Anyway I am very happy that I am getting eggs at last
Guest
Another egg this morning from Rose, so I am not complaining. I think Jules can have it for her tea tonight, she is still very upset about not seeing Kylie and needs a little treat to cheer her up
chocchick
We've had a bit of a drop, I think due to illness and the unpleasantness of two new "baby" chickens arriving. We've had a constant supply of eggs, although couldn't eat a number due to a wormer and antibiotic. Katy's been laying most days - good chicken. The newbies don't even have proper combs yet. I'm hoping Megan will produce a nice dark brown Welsummer egg and Abbie will be productive as a RIR. I'm amused by a lot of the posts, the mystery egg, maternity ward and Bunty and Phil. The Dogmother
Well done those chooks - I wish my girls were laying again. I gave them some tuna for protein yesterday, perhaps that wil prompt the saucy little madams into laying
Lesley
Ours had some leftover pasta with salmon the other day Clare so it may work We're going to put the run back on the Eglu tomorrow and put Big Buff inside - no-one laid an egg in that run today so hopefully tomorrow we will find out if it is Buff.
