Maybe it's just a case of identifying with some situations, and then the comic timing is superb. Miranda was in a very funny (to me) sit com Not Going Out with Lee Mack, & I wasn't sure about her at first, she was either funny or dreadful, but this confirms to me that she is a brilliant comic actrss, and the script is superb. Isn't Patricia Hodge wonderful as the mother? It's the only programme that makes me laugh out loud, I'm usually a silent giggler. The galloping along the pavement just struck a chord with me.
