Recommended Posts

...last saturday (not this weekend) you said you were reading this for physics revision...I knew you lied

Uh? Indeed I did read that :eh:

Finally got my work experience placement all sorted and the letter can go back in now...in the summer I'm going to the Farm Shop 8)

They have chickens :lol:And pigs

Sounds like it's going to be good, others have gone there in the past.

Ciaran actually ate dinner with us - voluntarily! We have the invasion of bodysnatchers going on here! He's hoovered, he's dusted, he's scrubbed skirting boards, he's filled up the dustbin that was emptied this morning. He really is turning over a new leaf. Just hope there's a job on the horizon soon for him.

Meanwhile Erin took a ride down to Boscombe today. Was there any snow? No but it was foggy and we got stalked by a person on a motorbike and it was scarey. Hmmm why didn't you call us to let us know where you were and you were OK and by the way your phone was switched off so we couldn't call you? Rant rave parents control freaks (or similar - variation on a theme)! Oh boy I give up. She's gone to bed now and I think she needs it - although was in a better frame of mind. And stop checking up on me too Erin! :P

Night all

The parentals always say my phone is off ... its not I just never have any signal

My brother is having his op (on his ear lumpy thing) the first week in Feb .. he's got to have 3 weeks off school afterwards, the thing he's most worried about is having half his head shaved  He's saying he's ok with it but won't talk about it and gets annoyed/embarassed when people do.

S'pose its a lot to deal with :anxious: I know I'd be scared but would probably do the whole not talk about it thing too!

Am revising Biology - gas exchange in insects and fish ... riveting stuff :|

Moving on to Haemoglobin now ... there's too many big words I'd forgotten existed

You can always study gas exchange with Murray and baked beans - but you'd need a mask - heavy duty of course.

Erin really does switch off her phone- saves the battery.

You need to play along with your brother - only mention it if he does.

Girls are tucking into Quorn chilli and pellets this morning. :vom: Well the fat ladies love it. Why don't they ever eat the kidney beans - Ciaran always leaves them too.

Afternoon! I'm really organised and have already made my cottage pie for tea, smells yummy  Means I don't have to rush around doing it later

Went to the docs to make an appointment with the midwife for next week, I'm meant to see her when I'm 16 weeks. She's completely booked up until the 12th Feb. The receptionist told me to phone the MW to see what she wanted me to do, spoke to another MW and she just told me to go on the 12th, not a problem  So back on the phone to the Docs, was put on hold for a while, then I finally managed to make the appointment for the 12th - phew! There must be a baby boom going on around here

It's like that here too, PT, but I don't think ours is due to a baby boom. Mum's blood pressure was high and she was getting dizzy spells. She called for an appointment and was given 8 days later! Not good enough so I made her call for the emergency appointments because she was only going to wait - didn't want to cause trouble. Garghhhhh! And another time the doc told her to come back later in the week to see him and the receptionist refused to make a time later in the week. Felt like going in and giving some verbal, but don't want to be struck off!!!! Once I called the doc because mum had pains in her chest and the receptionist gave her yet again the one week later slot - the doc called me back and said bring her in straight away and he monitored her as soon as we got there. Sometimes you need to have a pow wow with the chief!

We are off to the cinema this evening to see Avatar. Oooh exciting (don't think it's Murray's cup of tea though) - haven't been to the flicks in ages! Ooh sun's come out again. That was a special for JJ - who's been doing crafty things and made a crochet pear - it's cute! :D

Hope all goes well for your brother Lewis, at least you have a date you can prepare for, and glad biology went well.

PT - we have to phone at 8am for our appointments, and you are on redial for ages and if you are lucky when you finally get through there may just be an appointment left

Have just come back from a reflexology session that 2 friends had bought me for my birthday. It was bliss :D

Morning all.

Glad you enjoyed your present Debs.

Lewis!!!!! More lights!!!!!!

I have one word to say about Avatar - AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! Had a bit of trouble adjusting to the 3D glasses - there's a lot to be said for flat screen - I can see everything otherwise 3D blurs the background. I likened it to the Battle of Little Big Horn crossed with Independence Day. Quite moving too, sniff sniff, in places - and I'm not the sniff sniff type of person.:lol:

Not really Murray's thing either, but he really enjoyed it too, Clootie. It isn't all CGI there's a lot of normal human interaction - very cleverly done. I did say jokingly "was this filmed in New Zealand?" and yes, a lot of it was. Now I after the Lord of the Rings I wanted to go and see all that wonderful scenery - I am particularly interested to see the floating mountains there now!

Still snowing here and who is out looking like a drowned rat? Kitty. I am going to have to blow dry her again before she catches cold. Good job I've been popping in the citricidal into their drinks.

Just been to get some layers pellets because we ran out this morning :anxious::roll: and a hamster ball for the gerbils - the 2 did't really like it, but the third one in seems to and is whizzing about the floor

They have bales of Aubiose at the feed store for £10 which I thought seemed expensive compared to other places  ... the parentals will probably pay anyway
