Does anybody feel ..... Part # 12

Recommended Posts

Wow lot's of snow. Hubby's left for work, hope he gets there ok  Just heard that Cardiff Bus has said that the road past the school is not safe for them, that's one of the roads Hubby goes along, unless he decides to go the other way.

Cardiff is the centre of the Universe isn't Debs? I think Aberystwyth is West Wales. You do know you have to learn Welsh is you go there, don't you Lewis? The first Wales meet-up sounds like fun, where will it be I wonder?

Update: Just had a text from Hubby, he's parked up safely and walking in to work (he does this everyday, it's nothing to do with the snow)

School was still open + we had quite a bit of snow this morning, still snowing now.

I got there with literlly 2 minutes to spare for the exam and then they delayed it 10/15 mins ... we started and people were still coming in 45 mins after the start time ... anyone after that had to go and do it in a different room!

Was an ok exam ... considering I detest it abyway  I know there were a few I couldn't do, but at the end when they were collecting papers I saw someone flick through and half the answers weren't filled in so hopefully beat him

Stayed in school for another 2 hours waiting for Business Studies but he said we could just go and 'revise' then school was cancelled this afternoon so wait until lunch and sign in then straight out  .... Another hour and half of waiting ... me think not

Hope everyone gets home safely! :D

Hope you did OK Lewis.

Its stopped snowing here, but there is no sign of anything thawing.

Several people have tried and failed to get out of my cul de sac by car

I just  it clears by tomorrow, as Phil and I are booked into a hotel and restaurant overnight for a certain, unmentioned occasion

It's meant to rain here, so if you get the same it should clear Debs.

We've been out in the garden and made a snow woman

I know she's only got one eye, but I was struggling to find something to use (the one she's got is a bottle top I 'borrowed' from one of Dan's pictures from school  ). She hasn't got a name yet, any suggestions?

Then we made snow castles, these worked really well, much better than sand.

Lovely pictures, PT

We had loads of snow here this morning, bad roads, coming down heavily...most of the schools were closed but ours was open...typical

So then hardly any of the teachers were there and basically we had assembly, followed by a lesson, followed by another assembly were mr headteacher decided to send us home at 12.

Guess who forgot their snow letter and wasn't allowed to leave

I had to phone mother and then find a member of staff to talk to her so that they were sure that there was a responsible adult waiting for me. The fact that my sister's snow letter was signed didn't count

Anyway..got home at 12:30 :D

Still snowing now.

Ooooh Debsie, are the birthday bells ringing?

Good Luck with the exams Lulu

If I get in  we should have the first(?) Wales meet :D

Also I'm still planning to pick JJ, PT and Debs up to go the the National as promised when we were at the last one ... provided I can afford to have a car at Uni

Debs and PT has the first Wales meet

Also, I don't know how I can be involved in these plans since I wasn't at the last National  Unless you just planned to kidnap me. Debs is already my Auntie

Hope you're all feeling better today :D

Sorry for this rather Happy-go-smiley and Koojie-ish post  *runs*

Yes, and at my age (36 on Friday  )they sound like those deep bells of dome that you hear on horror movies :anxious:

Chicky will know in 2 months

Yes, so I won't be on tomorrow night, as I am being whisked away by the lovely Phil  but I will be on on Friday which is the dreaded day

Shame that your teachers can't be more "grown up" about things, gosh if your sister had her letter :wall:

You were involved because you live in Wales JJ ... naturally

A little birdie told me about Friday  ... well kept secret :P

You have to have a snow letter! We're not organised enough for that, its just contact parents and go home, they never check or even ask though
