Poached
Hello! Schools of again lewis:is it as flimsy as i have heard it is
Lewis
I like it, don't really think its flimsy Its a different plastic to the which is kind of rubbery plastic so solid in that respect, this is hard sheets of plastic. You build it up, then the last thing is to put the colour sheets on, so you can change the colour (or replace one pelen if its scratched!) Should be ideal for the ducks with one big tray and no fiddly bits to clean ... they poo everywhere I don't know what to say in the email so will leave it until later School should be open tomorrow apparently, they've said we're only allowed to use 1 door in for some reason ... suppose its a good things considering we all have exams coming up. Sheilaz
.....I don't know what to say in the email so will leave it until later If you can, phone Omlet after school, I think emails tend to stack up in the inbox. They are great on the 'phone, & you can just discuss any concerns directly, office hours only. Might set your mind at rest. Good luck, I think it looks great. School should be open tomorrow apparently, they've said we're only allowed to use 1 door in for some reason ... suppose its a good things considering we all have exams coming up. The specific entrance will be so that it can be made safe in the ice, rather than trying to attend to all paths. Hope it goes well.
Lewis
The sixth form can only use one entrance, other years use other entrances which is why its wierd ... sorry, didn't really explain properly! I emailed them, don't really want to send it back to be replaced though. Mother said I should at least mention it to see what they say or if they'd offer to send a replacement panel/skid bar Thanks, will try and phone tomorrow ... I'm not the best person to complain ... never know what to say!
Sheilaz
The sixth form can only use one entrance, other years use other entrances which is why its wierd ... sorry, didn't really explain properly! Sorry, I misunderstood. We have a lot of ice here & Esther's school says it's re-opening tomorrow, but I'll still be really surprised if it does, so that was on my mind. Crazy 6th form one entrance weird school! I emailed them, don't really want to send it back to be replaced though. Mother said I should at least mention it to see what they say or if they'd offer to send a replacement panel/skid bar Thanks, will try and phone tomorrow ... I'm not the best person to complain ... never know what to say! Just tell them what you told us, and be yourself. Say that you don't like complaining, but were surprised about the scrathes, blah blah....& take the conversation from there. Don't really say "blah, blah," or they'll think you're weird or crazy! Lewis
Back to school Suppose its goos, what with exams. My friends picking me up 'early' so I was ready at 8 ... coming at half past So I've had breakfast for once, properly defrosted and Life-guarded the waters and given everyone hot mash with flubenvet (not sure if its meant to be with mash, but we live and learn )
clootie
Morning all. DS not amused as there are 364 schools closed in our area but his is not one of them DD goes back next Tuesday, weather permitting of course What's this I'm reading in the papers that exam boards are refusing to reschedule crucial GCSE and A-level papers despite the big freeze. A tad unfair to those who have been stressing over revision schedules. Not their fault the schools have decided to close.
Valkyrie
Well that's mean, Clootie - of the examining body that is. I see on the satellite that everywhere looks snowed up - even if you haven't got any snow or just a smattering! Anyway morning all. How many of you have sulking chickens? Still all present and correct here, but the silence sure is golden! Mine have finished their Flubenooben yesterday (I have to make sure I start on the first so I remember ) and today they've had Aviemoreprosac on their brekkers. They really love brekkers with that added. Typical, expensive tastes those chickens. Yoghurt anyone? Yuk don't like that. Everybody elses chickens do. Well we don't - not eating that stuff so there. ClaireG
Morning all Yup, my chooks are moaning Koojie. They really don't like this cold much. The girls in the WIR are mainly staying under their platform/table. The Bantams are ok as their Eglu run is totally coverd by a clear tarp, however the phessie is still stalking them The 3 younger ones are only coming out of their eglu to eat and drink. I'm having to put out bowls of water as its easier to tip it out when frozen and had to repalce them about 5 times yesterday. Have also been giving them all extra greens and warm mash. It's snowing again here, wonder if we'll get anything significant. I have a Drs appt at 4.50 it was meant to be 1.50 but they rang and changed it Whats the betting i won't be able to make it cos of the snow?! Valkyrie
We have snowy rain very fine stuff - looks like some things are thawing though. It's all very well my doc saying the prescriptions ready for me to pick up, but like you say - it's getting there.
ClaireG
Well, the snow has been stop, start, stop, start all morning and hasn't amounted to anything really. There's a really bitter wind though now brrrrrr.
Lewis
School have said if we have an exam we have to go in ... even if we're wading up to our shoulders in snow For some people it takes an hour usually that could be hours and hours spent getting to school! Our chickens are fine in the snow, the has a showed curtain so they're ok, but are in the old WIR which is all snowy and there were out in the run this morning so don't seem to phased Had a reply from Omlet, there have been no re-con Go's so I'll take some better photos on a real camera and not my phone and send them later Driving lesson is cancelled because of the snow
Geoid
A tad unfair to those who have been stressing over revision schedules. Not their fault the schools have decided to close. A tad? Very unfair if you ask me, I have been doing loads of revision, but some of the stuff I am stuck on/ dont understand, I would normally ask my teacher to explain, but since school is closed I cant go in and ask. Also, if the weather is soo bad on monday, we cant take the exams, the exam board wont reschedule for later in the month, they will move to june/july, when the re-sits are usually taken.... It would mean rescheduling the whole of the country's (world in come cases) exams, and it could clash with other things/exams on that second date. If someone up the road did the exam, you could speak to them and then do the exam a month later and know all the answers. They do have another paper B, but thats different and needs special circumstances. I know exactly what you're saying though! We're all in the same position
Valkyrie
It's a pity your teacher hasn't set up some sort of contact via e-mail or somesuch (although I guess it could lead to a lot of abuse ), but there should be some emergency contact to help prior to exams. There's been some talk about it on the news today - they might consider waiting until the summer - but different exam boards do different things. About time they were amalgamated to end this nonsense. Have listened to the squawking for ages, went and had another look. Couldn't see anything wrong the first time, when looking in the nest box. This time I thought I heard something inside the cube again and took the back off. It was only Mercedes had wandered in there and Tipsy wanted to lay an egg and there was a mean little pekin frightening her - thereby setting off all the other whingers! I picked up Mercy and popped her back in with the Eggy Babes and it's all peaceful again.
PurpleTree
It's really cold, brrr! Walked to the bank this morning and the pavements were really slippy. The sky has suddenly gone really dark and filled with grey clouds - more snow?
ClaireG
Just got back from the Drs and it was snowing on my drive back. I will rattle soon i think He's put me back on the diabetes tablets that made me really ill before ( different surgery) and also anti inflams for my arthritis and is talking about statins and BP meds. I also have to have lots of bloods taken in the next few weeks.

I'm not asking Would probably take more than a month to sort it all out. Off to the panto in a bit Its really wierd, I'd normally be backstage doing all the tech stuff, but will have to watch ... first one I've seen! These are the ones I started with Its got a bit political now and because of exams I said I couldn't do it. We're all going for a curry afterwards
