We have a handy magnetic thing on the fridge that the council supplied, tells us which week is which DH has been reading my square foot gardening book and has been muttering things about wood in his parents garage. Now i wonder which will happen first WIR no 2 or veggie patch? We've decided to go to France for the Whitsun half term It's Adams birthday then to. I'm hoping to book a cottage later - just got to decide which one Adam has already asked his teaching assistant if she will come and do the chooks for us. PurpleTree Posted January 21, 2010 Share Posted January 21, 2010 It's recycling day here too It's been a sea of green bags around here, as they haven't been collected since before Christmas thanks to the snow. I can't wait to get rid of the things. I got really excited last week when an unscheduled bin lorry came and collected our very full black bin. Valkyrie Posted January 21, 2010 Author Share Posted January 21, 2010 Our recycling one was collected just before Christmas - it's the black wheelies that were covered - and of course "Ooops, word censored!"ody could get here so the rubbish just mounted up. We were separating the wet unpleasant waste from the dry waste so that the dry stuff could go in the garage until it was time for collection - fortunately the turkey bones were under the snow in the bin already and the unpleasant stuff was very little. The dustmen arrived earlier this week. Since then everybody seems to think the blue bin will be emptied too and have just swapped the bins around. Well they aren't coming till next week for those (the wonders of a website refuse info link) - so they'll just have to wait! Ooh la la Claire. (one of) Jessie's favourite band(s) There are some crazy drivers on the road these days, I was cycling down a bus lane (as I am allowed to) there was a lot of traffic. This one cars pulls out on to me (misses by centimetres) and starts driving down the bus lane I was angry, first she almost hit me and second, she is driving down a bus lane! So, I swing my bike round (so it blocks her car) and "voice" my "concerns". I cycle away and she gets blocked in by a load of other cars Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
