Space Chick
Don't get me started on Christmas lights Koojie We haven't got ANYTHING!!!! No tree inside, no lights outside, NOTHING!!!!! Phil reckons that as we are going away we would be advertising to burglars that we are not there if we didn't put them on, and he has refused a timer as he's not racking up our electricity bill for other peoples enjoyment. His logic is incredibly sound, and I suppose he is right, but doesn't stop me thinking that I am married to Scrooge
Valkyrie
You would need something on a timer though. More attracting to would be burglars seeing no festive colour at all inside or out. We usually leave a radio on when we've been for long trips - in the oh so distant past. Something like Radio 4 that chats more. And the lights were on timers for the tree. Plus a neighbour to pop in and out at different times (although regular when looking after rabbits etc).
ClaireG
We always leave a light on when we're away overnight and use a timer if we're away for longer than that. I'm feeling poorly again Hope i recover soon, still got a couple more pressies to sort, havn't done any wrapping yet and need to make cranberry sauce. Valkyrie
That's cause Debs has gone to bed at tea time! Or wrapping those unmentionables and writing poxy cards or decorating with baubles and trees and such - bah humbugggggggg! The young'uns are probably facebooking like mad (and as Lewis has bounded in before I could post this he's obviously not facebooking) - I've sneaked in while Erin was er inconvenienced. So I will say goodnight too and be a boring old fogey. See you (well whenever - his lordship is working in here tomorrow but out on Wednesday with my car but he's not around ) xxx

Lewis
I've printed out all the prices and some pictures and ours comes to £234 with the run ... then we need to add the polycarbonate sheets for the roof, and some slabs so I reckon more than £300. Sheilaz
Hello is anybody out there?!? Hello, hello. My! I wish I'd logged on last night, sorry I missed you Mark. Lovely to see our creator taking a peek at the thread that will not die! Is walking an option if it snows Fred? Take care. I thought I'd mis-heard the weather forecast. Rain in North & Snow in South, shurely shome mishtake? I really need a bit of snow 1st thing Thurs. It's Esther's 14th birthday & she loves snow. It snowed at dawn on her 2nd (or 3rd ) birthday & she thought I'd arranged especially. I'm finding it hard to live up to each year. I found her in the garden in just her pyjamas one year when she was ickle, and called out my concerns..."but I put my hat on!" she replied! Button up your overcoats everyone. Valkyrie
Rat's! Missed our Guru Mark - we won't let you kill this one - unless we're going up a page - ooh I started this one! I've just been mailed by Amazon that my Stargate Atlantis calender is not forthcoming - and is holding up the rest of my order. Poo! I may as well cancel - I still have them as my wallpaper on my side of the computer. Not the same. So dull and dark here - can't wait for pinky grey snow clouds as a change from dark grey clouds. Still managed to get most of the cards done and only 2 left which need letters. And then I can breathe a bit. Seen the drip damage at mum's - WHOAH NELLY! It's huge! Might tentatively suggest tree from the attic - don't mention attic to Murray! Expecting a big santa pressie tomorrow.
