theherd123
Every house has one of these at Christmas time but what gets left in yours? We have a tin of Roses and it only contained 2 hazelnut whirls! 2! And they are my favourite! Oh but we have loads of strawberry & orange creams - typical! In the new year I will be taking all the horrid ones into work and try to palm them off on the staff!
Snowy
We never have any one particular tin - depends what we are given. But it is always the hard toffees left in ours There are always loads of them!
Shirl
I try to avoid chocolates (because I'd eat them too quickly) but when I buy the mixed nuts the almonds are always left. They are so hard it is too much effort to crack them.
Guest
I love orange/strawberry creams! the hard toffee ones here too, especially the round penny ones. i think we had this discussion last year and i suggested you could use them for toffee vodka and I think it was Cathy who said she might try it

bigmommasally
You mean you've already opened your tin of Christmas sweets!!! Ours (a tin of Quality Street) is firmly tucked away in the understairs cupboard along with the christmas biscuits, malteasers and mixed fuit and nut until Christmas day. The strawberry and orange creams will be the ones that will be left over.

Lewis
I think the parentals would think I was mad if I put our unwanted chocolates in the post! We don't have any tins of chocolates but I'm sure my nan will bring a few round on christmas day And when you're finished you can use the tin for chicken feed, or to make a tealight heater
Griffin
My kids opened a tin of Roses, there are mainly just the manky blue ones left now Fruit creams are vile whatever tin they're from, luckily daughter number 4 loves them
Snowy
I'd be happy to accept any unwanted hazelnut whirls/caramel brazils/anything remotely nutty with no toffee in it

A chickychickychick-ENN!!
Quality Street yay! Purple ones, green triangles, coconut ones, hazelnut whirls mmmmm... But toffee pennies YUK! We can't have one this year though as we have a posh box of Hotel Chocolat ones instead. Meh. But yay.
Guest
i bought our chocs today; a box of roses and a box of quality street. One box was £4.20 but it was 'buy any 2 for £5' so i did! http://value.co-operative.coop/ An odd offer but there you go
Paola
I got all excitied when I found small boxes of Cadburys Roses in our local supermarket That was until I opened them They are nothing like what you get in the UK I was expecting the chocolate to be different but not the centers etc
Laura & CTB
I'd be happy to accept any unwanted hazelnut whirls/caramel brazils/anything remotely nutty with no toffee in it I'll arm wrestle you for them Snowy
craftyhunnypie
I like the creams, pralines. I hate hard caramels & too many nuts. We don't buy those tins. I prefer a nice bar of what I really like or some carefully chosen Thorntons. By the way, I sampled a calvados raisin chocolate last night, from my Hotel Chocolat box. MMmm mm mmmmmmmm!
