Kentwitch
Same here. Have spent most of the day cleaning out the cube and WIR. The girls loved the company and have been helping - in other words getting in the way

Valkyrie
Ditto - it must be the smell of the mite and louse powder that I have missed so long. First decent day for a long time I guess.
poachedegg
We did ours yesterday and I think it looks fab after all that horrible weather, gives me that little warm feeling, just like when the grass has been cut and everything looks neat and tidy.......I know - these little things in life that bring me pleasure! After OH had s"Ooops, word censored!"ed all the soil out and limed and stalosaned and put dowm fresh aubiose, a few of the chickens were really enjoying dustbathing and I commented I bet it's the same feeling as when we put fresh bedding on our beds! TAJ
Work in progress here - after the poo trays being frozen in the snow it was a mega cleanout. 4 trugs of poo/bedding from the cube and a trug each from inside each eglu. The two eglu runs still to be cleaned out. Tracy
Laura & CTB
Did my WIR yesterday too so now all fresh and clean again Hard work though - why does wet mash stick like glue to paving slabs?
Plum
I've joined the club. Run all clean and sparkly, no chickens allowed near it. Tracy you are making me feel tired.
dippy bird
yup me too, I did my coop in between yelling at my son to get his lazy bum out of bed and get ready for school,am going back out now to blast the rubber chippings in their run. Today was the first day the girls have been able to free range - they are now all covered in mud, but very happy.
Sarahsausage
Same here! Spent about 4 hours with the girls yesterday and gave their coops and runs a good clean, topped up the dustbaths with fresh topsoil and diatom, gave all the bowls a good clean etc. It was nice to see the girls enjoying a snow-free garden too, except the lawn looks awful, quite a few mud patches....... lisaroo2
Same here. Cleaned our girls run out on sunday. Why is it they have to stand and watch you? All three were there as I was cleaning the run out watching to make sure that I got in all the corners. Maisie went in the eglu to inspect it when I'd finished and then cam back out with a look on her face as if to say, 'I suppose it'll do!' They really are a joy! OH was getting abit fed up with trying to dig with a chook hanging off his fork everytime he lifted it!! He nearly speared Daisy when she thought she'd seen a worm that he'd dug up.
