Ziggy
... that chicken poo is NOT the world's finest delicacy??? We integrated our new chooks with our older girls yesterday, and moved and packed the small eglu and run, and the moment that was done, the silly pup went wild over the poo, wolfing down as if it was the nicest thing on earth... We had to drag him away while cleaning up, and he watched us from his room crying and begging to be let out, totally devastated that we were taking away his tasty treat... Why do I spend such good money on the best dry foods around???
Seagazer
They are disgusting animals aren't they? Cookie loves it when I clean the girls out I literally have to drag her out of there!

Chucky Mama
Henry eats chicken poo too, but even worse, the last week he has taken to licking Thomas the cats bum, much to Thomas disguist. It is in equal parts and opps, I just and I'm in the library and everyone turned around My dog only likes the sticky 'stick to the roof of your mouth' type chicken poos, she obviously has a more refined palate
The Dogmother
Ruby used to do that and it's disgusting, isn't it? Thankfully, she hardly ever does it now.

The Dogmother
can't guarantee that Ziggy, but she certainly isn't so obssessed as she used to be. The frozen, iced poos were her favourite; she liked to chomp on them.

jomaxsmith
Thank goodness for this thread! Before we got Boots his fosterer told us in stern terms not to let him drink from puddles in the garden that might have chicken poo in because he would get campylobacter and die an 'orrible death. He's unlikely to drink poo dissolved in water as the chooks haven't free ranged in a while but he does try to get at the poo soaked bark that he can reach through the fence of the chicken's area. If your pooches are all still fit and healthy I shall worry a bit less about it! Jo

The Dogmother
I'd reinforce that; if you keep other animals, livestock or if you regularly walk where there are foxy visitors, then it's imperative that you worm your dog regularly.
