Pro Plus - not a good idea! Ooops

Recommended Posts

So me and a friend thought it would be a good idea to use Pro Plus in order to stay awake and revise for an exam. NOT a good idea. It's now five to three, my exam is in roughly six and a half hours. I'm now feeling the side effects of nausea and headache, but it's done a fantastic job of keeping me awake, MUCH longer than I thought it would!

Got a throbbing headache and not too sure whether to take paracetamol or not whilst under influence of Pro Plus

Moral of the story - Don't do pro plus to revise

On the plus side, I've read a lot more of the omlet forum than I usually do at the moment! :D

*edited because forgot P + P made PP:lol:

**edited again because it would appear that at that time of the morning I cannot spell!:lol:

Good luck! Good luck!

I did the same during my A-levels. Took pro-plus to pull a revision all nighter before an afternoon exam (which was actually in the morning, so that was a bit stressy). Couldn't sleep for over 36 hours. Not good! :D

I noted a friend had a similar facebook status yesterday as well. He is on diazepam for proper health reasons, but drank two energy drinks. His status was Diazepam + Relentless (x2) + Excel = DISASTER! :)

Just say no, kids!

I took pro plus just the once during revision for my finals back in 1987. I can't say I found that they helped with keeping me alert so I could cram in more revision.

However, that night I had the most vivid, profoundly sad, morbidly depressing dream I have ever had in my life. When I woke up it still felt so realistic and did so for along time during the day afterwards. I never wanted to feel like that again and threw them in the bin. The feelings in the dream were so strong, I could recall them for months afterwards.

Pro Plus - Just say no!

Hope the exam went well.

I did something similar with red bull when I was studying for my Financial advice exams (12 years ago), I ended up lying in bed wide awake ALL night, and felt nauseous the for a few days after.

I agree, the cast of Grange Hill had it right all those years ago....Just say no!

OH was marshalling in the pits at the British GP at Silverstone not long after Red Bull came out.

Apparently it was really hot and these women were wandering around handing out cold drinks.. of which OH and the other marshal with him had "a few"

The next day they were both complaining about the poor night's sleep they'd had when the girls came around handing out yet more cold drinks.

The doctor on post with them said you've not been drinking that, have you? You've guessed it... they'd both ODed on Red Bull.

Haha I won't be using it again, I was awake for about 35 hours before finally falling asleep! Best night sleep I've jad for a while tho

The bad thing about Pro Plus is it also dehydrates you apparently, which I did not realise when drinking copious amounts of Pepsi as well.....
