Does anybody ever feel.......Part # 13.

Recommended Posts

Good luck with the Physics Lewis.

I hope you get your ears sorted soon Claire

 at JJ and the car mat.

The radiator's fixed  The man came at 4pm, had a look and said 'oh, that's unusual, never seen a drip coming from there before'. Noooo :( He had to put a whole new valve on, which meant draining the system as none of the radiators had separate drains on them (or something), so he was here a bit longer than expected. Luckily he's done our boiler service a couple of times, and done jobs for my parents and grandparents so I do trust him. Oliver was taking a lot of interest in what he was doing  I haven't paid him yet, I offered him a cheque but he said to just drop the cash in to his shop next week, no rush  I've written a big note for myself and put it on the noticeboard otherwise I'll forget.

Just had warm croissants and a packet of hula hoops for my lunch - yummm!

Think the clock on the boiler is a bit confused - the heating's just come on. It's not meant to come on until 4pm. Wonder if it thinks it's night time, pretty sure it usually comes on for a couple of hours in the middle of the night.

Our timing went funny and then it refused to turn itself off - a pump in the airing cupboard was the culprit and had to be replaced (I thought it was the timer switch gone kaput). But I have noticed that the heating goes on at different times during the night - just for one minute and it's enough for the pipes to start clicking and then it stops again. :?

A friend just mentioned on Facebook that they were eating apple crumble, I really want some now, with loads of custard :( Don't think I've got any sort of cake in the house. :( It's been ages since I've had crumble of any description. I did buy some lemons this morning though, so I could make some lemon cakes, except I have no eggs  My dad took all 4 of them this morning.

 Completely failed!

Worst exam in the history of the universe ... ever

We literally walked out of the room and started screaming and shouting! Everyone's moaning (they always do ) but I've genuinely failed!

Re-sits in June then :anxious:

We went to Starbucks after to get rid of some of the anger

Ahhhhhh, probably my own fault for the lack of revision blah blah but its gone now.

At least exams are all over

... until Wednesday - have the 2 entrance exams fro Aberystwyth.

Never mind Lewis - I had to resit maths O'level - thought the first was easy (well it really was) and was shocked to fail! The second I thought oh well pooh to that (probably a little bit more strong language - well it would have been but the nuns were around so we couldn't/didn't dare swear). I passed. You haven't got the results yet. Ooh Wednesday's the day then.

Poor PT all that saliva going to waste.

*cough* I see Laura is back and hasn't graced us with her presence.

Not good enough for her, are we not? :notalk:

Good job you've finished your revision JJ :D

I was so annoyed after the exam, I know its my fault but :lol:

There was GCSE stuff and stuff not on the spec on it, and the course is kind of divided in two so one teacher teaches on half, the other the second half - all of the one half was on it, and the second wasn't :eh: It just has to be that the better teacher's content wasn't on the exam

I saw him after the exam and he said he was really annoyed, and the other teacher was worried because now the pressure and blame is all on him!

Morning all :D

I'm only teasing JJ

Thats it Lewis, blame the teachers  However, there is some truth in that. :shh: When I used to train Financial Advisers for their professional exams, people who came on my courses had a much higher success rate than people who attended other courses. So I agree, its always down to the teachers

Morning peeps.

Now a question - when does a casserole dish look like a loaf tin? When Ciaran thinks it is. Not only that my lovely non-stick baking tins have been put in the microwave and undoubtedly food has been s"Ooops, word censored!"ed out with metal cutlery. :wall::wall::wall:

This morning - that's a casserole dish. Sorry I thought that was a shepherds pie dish. I have never used a casserole dish for shepherds pie!:wall::roll::wall:

Erin actually washed up her baking bits that had been out on the work surface since Tuesday. I flatly refused to clean up the kitchen. Murray didn't mention anything - he could see the steam coming out of my ears and chose to keep the peace. I think I'd better check before putting the "clean" articles away - last time I had to wash them up again. I hope she does it properly at college (I guess she does but won't give home the same scrupulous treatment - she tells everybody else off at college for not doing it properly her tutor told us).

Well I'm just about to embark on a massive clean up downstairs - need to be spick and span sort of.

Now Apache is whingeing. What on earth's got into these girls! Ratty isn't around any more - think it was just investigating potential food sources and had no luck the following days. I wonder if she's going to lay eggs again? More competition for gobby Tipsy - SOMEONE'S IN THE NEST BOX AND I WANT IT ALL TO MYSELF!!!!!!!

Busy day for Koojie ahead

I'm heading out in a mo to buy provisions - fridge is nearing the empty stage. I have an early start tomorrow morning with DD who has to be at the boat club for 7am - this means leaving here around 6.15am so up and caffeined by 5.30am :?

My chippie is supposed to be coming this morning to sort the stable door he made and installed last year. The weather has meant that we haven't been able to close it properly since early Nov as the wood has expanded. Came downstairs this morning to the door wide open, dripping with rain and the insides of an unfortunate mouse on the floor. Lovely. Well, at least I didn't stand on them.

Have a good Friday everyone. I had the delights of DS's parents evening last night.

Had a lovely start to the morning, half an hour after taking Dan to school, had a phonecall from the teacher asking me to go and collect him as he'd been sick - a lot! He's now laying on the sofa in his jammies, with a blankie over him. Worst thing is, he said he had a tummy ache this morning and I didn't believe him  He had been leaping around the place with Olly for hours.

I was just about to have a cup of tea and toast at mum and dad's when they phoned too. Left Olly at theirs though, so don't know when they might bring him home.

So who had crumble last night?

I'm coming in here to have a whinge. I used to love my job but since the powers that be started messing an awful lot of us around early last year over our contracts I've hated it. No payrise last year and a change in contract which was forced upon me and along with 79 other employees & the help of our union we're having to endure an employment tribunal in an attempt to claim back what is ours. I'm nearly £200 a month worse off, have been since July, and the only reason I've carried on working is because I felt we'd win our claim at the tribunal and our old contracts back plus the money owed. I really really hoped it'd all be over sooner rather than later and this morning I've received a solicitors letter to say the final hearing has been listed for five days in court from July 12th. I don't want to have to carry on working for peanuts until at least July  If we lose I'll have wasted a whole year working for those ungrateful muppets. I've always said I'd stop working if we lose, Mr Griffin and the kids would much rather I was at home anyway but I liked getting out of the house and seeing grown-ups. And to add insult to injury I found an article online which says the company I work for had a 5.7% increase in turnover last year with pre-tax profit of £8.5 million YET HE CLAIMS WE CAN'T HAVE A PAYRISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I need cake and biscuits and alcohol :wall::wall::wall::wall::wall:
