PurpleTree
Morning all! Dan's got a non-uniform day tomorrow, they're having their annual pancake race, which we have to pay for them to take part in Last year I'm sure it was 50p, but this year it's £1 and they get to eat a bit of pancake. I just hope it's not the one they've just dropped on floor whilst racing. Don't know what he's going to wear as all his tidy (and clean) clothes are in the suitcase. My dad has got my nephew again today, as for some reason the nursery still won't have him back. Sure his chicken pox aren't contagious anymore, he's had them for over a week now. Apparently the nursery's had 22 kids off with it. So when we buying our commune?
ClaireG
As faras i can remember from my nursery nurse days, children can go back when all the spots have crusted over. Adams charity day is for Haiti to Cooks. They've had to try and raise money out of school, they were given £1 to invest (Adam bought a bucket and sponge!) or if they couldn't invest re donate. He washed my car for £3 and has had my egg money and also made cakes for Si to sell at work for him. He also has to pay £1 to go out of uniform and wear "big hair". Then they have a coffee morning from 9 tomorrow and a bring and buy sale, cake stall and games from 10.30.
PurpleTree
That's a really good idea of the school to raise money for Haiti, it sounds like the kids will all have a good time. It makes them aware of something that's happening else where in the world. Nice and quiet here again, my dad's been around with my nephew, then while they were here my gran turned up too. In the end I was almost pushing them out of the door so I could have my lunch.

Valkyrie
Congrats with the egg Lewis. Pancake day? We had a pancake day the other day. Took mumsie shopping, found some half price Cornish cream - the proper stuff. She said are you making scones? I thought I might (but had intended to make fudge because clotted cream makes it more gooey) for a change says me. I'll make them. I would rather like to cook my own! So now I'm going to make my own scones and not fudge just to prove a point that I would like to do some nice things for a change in my kitchen rather than everyone else take over. Humphhh! Brave little blue monster, saying to work. Once you are all better things will fall into place. Result - next door have had their poxy lime tree trimmed. Sadly they have left the scatty branches leaning towards our garden all ready to be blown into our drive and on the lawn. Oh dear I must get more sleep - haven't half got the bah humbug mood lately. It's very sunny outside and something's crashed in the garden.

Valkyrie
Tis all OK - a window frame had slid down over the pots - just made an awful noise as it went. Still intact even though it's rested on some plant pots - which seem to be disintegrating with the frost - and the window has landed on the exposed soil part. Phew soft landing then. Well done Fred. I'm a good goalie if you need one. I fill up the goal mouth.
