ClaireG
Happy Birthday Griffin I used to love Trumpton and Cambellwick Green and The Herbs but my favourite was The Clangers Great clips Lewis Fab bus!
PurpleTree
I remember Trumpton, although not sure if I ever actually watched it. Koojie I have no idea what you're on about, but it sounds very odd. Wondering what's best to do tonight. We're leaving about 1am, to go to the airport. So should I go to bed, when I put the boys to bed and try and get some sleep? Or shall I just doze on the sofa? I want to see the second part of Silent Witness. I'm not convinced I'll actually fall asleep as I suspect my brain will be whirring trying to think if I've packed everything. Then I'll be getting up again at midnight, then I'll decided if I'm going to have a shower to wake me up or not. aaaarrgghhh!!! Too much to think about What do you all think? ClaireG
I always try and have a sleep but mostly don't manage it. Either i'm worried i've forgotten stuff or i'm to excited I'd just try and chill as much as you can and if you doze off on the sofa it's no loss is it
Valkyrie
Have fun PT - wonder where we'll be up to by the time you get back? Why do our stupid birds want the same nest box? Kitty and Squirt both want the eglu this morning - the cube was empty and they both laid in the cube yesterday. Choosing the lesser of two evils, I picked up Kitty and put her in the cube run. She rummaged around the floor and then up sneaks Mercedes and shimmies up the ladder then plops herself down in her corner - much to Kitty's disgust who then tries to pounce on Squirt. Squirt was having none of that and chased her out again. I picked up Kitty and put her in the cube box - see, plenty of room for you and Sadie. Nope it just won't do. Then blow me down Apache waddles up for a look. I don't think she was ready to lay and was just being nosey - she then went into the eglu to see Squirt (totally ignored her) and then came back up the garden to beg at the door. As it started to rain and mum was going to the docs I thought I'd drop her off (bearing in mind I hadn't been in the bathroom and Murray wanted it first). Murray had to move his car while I ran out to placate bokking birds again. So by that time I call mum, but she'd already left. Up I go to the docs looking like Worzel Gummidge, no sign of her. Keep a beady eye out for car park attendants because I haven't got a ticket. Her appointment was at 9 and she comes out at 20 past. MUUUUUM! So she jumps in and I couldn't park outside the chemist (it would have been quicker had she walked), out she gets and I try and find a spot - only to find a gap - whoohoo. So out she comes and goes right past me. MUUUUUUM! Nothing - TOOT TOOT! And she starts giggling. Back we go - I'm glad I went because it was drizzling. Come home, have a coffee BOOOOOKKKKK BOK BOK! Oh for goodness sake what now? It's going to be one of those days.
PurpleTree
That's what I'm thinking. At least we haven't got far to drive, we're going from East Midlands airport, then it's a 2hr flight, then about an hours drive on the other side. Obviously I'm not driving either, so I might fall asleep in the car. Think I'll want to sleep once we get to where we're staying, bet the kids won't want to though Think I'm going to need one of JJ's summaries when I get back

Lewis
Bonjour Nan + her husband have just been round to see us He didn't collect the Biology in - was in a really bad mood, and set us a load of exam questions last lesson so a few people (including me ) couldn't do them all so left gaps ... he made us stay in over lunch and do it. Its always our free afternoon so my friend had to go to work after a bit and he had a massive go at her and said he'll report it to the 6th form head that she has a job, blah blah. Anyway, at least its half term now We've been talking about a few of us driving to France over the last week, just for a few days from Tuesday but have left it a bit late now so don't think it'll happen ... Valkyrie
Ahhh half term. I'd forgotten about that. I am going to write a stinky letter of complaint to Erin's college. Seems there are double standards going on (and seeing as she came home in tears after a run-in) and I've had enough of this one particular teacher who took a dislike to Erin right from the start. We chose to ignore it because it was pure pettiness on the part of the teacher (jibes about piercing, hair colour - you'll never get a job looking like that etc the list goes on), but lately it's getting out of hand. In spite of that we continually get letters to say Erin is doing well and is an exceptional pupil. Think Squirt has hurt herself, so been keeping an eye on her. She did lay an egg this morning, but been sitting down most of the day. She will walk up slowly for treats, so think she was so desperate to get out of the cube this morning (along with Kitty and Tipsy) she's probably landed funny. Valkyrie
OK Quasimodo glad to hear you are up and swinging! Hehehehe! Poor Squirt is limping - I guess that was bound to happen when 3 bundle out of the cube door at any one time. She probably caught it on the ladder. I thought she might have an egg stuck up her botty - couldn't see anything but stuffed up some vaseline for good measure and gave her a nice massage - she liked that and snuggled into me. But the limp is noticeable this afternoon. She's had lots of cuddles, so hopefully will be fine in the morning. Think I'll up the limestone just in case. Other than that the rest of her appears fine - she had already laid an egg before I shoved my finger where no other human finger has gone before! chick wiggle
Aww I hope Squirts ok Koojie. As for that teacher Well, very often when a child crys 'the teachers picking on me' you know its just the child not having a very good day or the child disliking the teacher. However, there are also times when a teacher really does take a dislike to a child, (for whatever reason) I know, this happened to my ED. Now, you would think, been the adult, the teacher should be able to overcome any personnel feelings towards her pupil but, been human, sometimes they just cant. This is not acceptable and i feel should be brought to the attention of the head. A childs whole future depends on their education. In my DDs case she changed to another teacher doing the same subject and things got better. I really hope you and your daughter can sort something out Koojie. Its awful if your child is unhappy at school/college and can obviously seriously affect their grades. Good Luck with that Koojie and Oh No sounds like Cookie is mobile again.... Valkyrie
I'd better watch out - twas easy to dodge before, but now Cookie's mobile she can catch up! Although I think you need a racquet to go with the ball. Unless you are going to practice sling shots - and I have lots of pesky pigeons for you to practice on. Yep poor little hopalong (not Cooks this time) managed to keep up with everyone and was happily filling her face with fresh boiled spuds with limestone flour, cod liver oil, boiled rice (leftovers) and some corn. That part works very well indeed - as does her other end. At least she was resting nicely in the greenhouse out of the rain with Mini close to hand - awwwww she's got a frie-end. And that is good news re the physio.
Valkyrie
Forgot to mention Squirt is being perfect - no pecking of the hoomans. I wonder if she did indeed read my mind when I was looking at her thinking of bumper bits. Seems the day it arrived she certainly started behaving herself. Now that's weird. Cooks
typed this out once already then lost my connection... flaming kids. I was pleased about the physio too seeing as I already see her for my shoulder that is about as much as I can take. The tennis ball is to push down on with the ball of my foot and the scarf is to pull my foot back towards me, so it should be good really. Was a big owie when he moved my foot around though. He said my dead foot feel I get from time to time will be temporary nerve damage. @ squirt reading your mind.
