Valkyrie
Wet and windy all night - hear the acorns hammering on the cube - methinks the girls wanted a lie-in too today! It had stopped briefly this morning while OH went for a walk but started to rain when I dropped the boy off at work. On the way home it was really heavy - lots of flood signs dotted around. But there is a tantalising break in the clouds in the distance - can see the shapes of cumulus clouds through the grey.
Egluntyne
Absolutely vile again here today. Wind howling, raining stair rods and so dark that we need the lights on. Those three bales of Aubiose that I put down for the hens at not inconsiderable expense yesterday are now absolutely sodden.
Old Speckled Hen
2.30 and it's finally stopped raining.
The Dogmother
Saturday was lovely - warm and sunny after a thick fog in the morning. Sunday, an inch of rain over night, rained nearly all day and stopped around 4pm
Valkyrie
Pretty much the same here Claret, although the rain came down heavy around 6. But there was a beautiful sunset last night - pretty red ribbons in the sky. I yelled to OH just in time - it didn't last very long. Today is dull and dismal and has been raining this morning too. At the moment it appears to be drying and the sun is trying to break through but I don't think it's going to happen (someone somewhere should tell the clouds that red sky at night means no blinking rain). The Dogmother
We've had sunshine and temps of 16deg here all morning, but it's starting to cloud over. When I popped home for lunch, the porch was so warm from all the sun that I left the inside door open to warm the house.
chickencam
We had a lovely day on Saturday, rain on Sunday morning, with a better afternoon, and today started foggy, but by 11pm, it was sunny and warm. I have washing out for the first time in ages.

The Dogmother
I'm just back from lunch, having debated about putting the washing out. Decided not to as it looked a bit dark on the horizon and the radio was forecasting rain in the afternoon

The Dogmother
Oooo, my Hotmail calendar now shows wee weather symbols for the next 5 days, when I click on them, I get this sort of summary How clever is that? It just appeared, I didn't load it at all.
Old Speckled Hen
Couple of really heavy cloudbursts but now the sun has come out. Wind whipping up.
Old Speckled Hen
Hey, it's sunny with hardly a cloud in the sky The blackthorns are groaning with sloes so filled a couple of poo bags on our walk. It's a really autumnal day, with wet red and orange leaves on the ground and the sound of crows having a good old raucous chat. Lovely!
The Dogmother
Lovely here too after a misty start. We're predicted some warm and sunny weather over the next two or three days. i just hope that the promised rain doesn't materialise this afternoon Thanks for reminding me about the sloes, i must make some room in the freezer for some. Valkyrie
Had a nice day yesterday, although we did have a spot of rain in between the girls being locked in with their tea and being shut in for the night. They had been whingeing so probably knew. But a couple of spots it was - nothing more! Today is very grey and a light mist.
The Dogmother
Lovely here yesterday although it cooled and clouded a bit later on. Damp over night and 15deg at 6am today. Misty and muggy hereabouts.
lillybettybabs
O/H has bought a weather station and put the wind thing over the fence into the field, I spotted three sheep looking at it this morning woundering if it was edible Edited October 8, 2010 by Guest
chickencam
We had a lovely day yesterday, I had to close the blinds in the office because it was so hot in the sun. It clouded over and cooled down later and we had a shower overnight. It is overcast and muggy here at the moment, but the sun is trying to break through. Egluntyne
Lovely here yesterday. Thick fog this morning. It cleared about an hour ago, but interestingly, the greenhouse is still full of it.
