Talking to a Brick Wall?!

Recommended Posts

I got up this morning to give my hubby a lift to work at some ungoodnessly early hour

We had a conversation it went along the lines of..

H. We are out of sheep food

Me. I know I have ordered some, in the meantime there are some sugar beet pellets in a bin in the haystore, you soak them in water and the sheep can have some tomorrow morning

H. So I soak them overnight?

Me. Yes

(the sheep dont NEED additional food they just have a small amount so we can keep them still enough to check them over daily)

in summary - sugar beet pellets - bin - haystore - soak - feed tomorrow

I get home this evening and what has he done?

fed the sheep some wood pulp chicken bedding pellets from a bag in the stable

Does that sound right? NO. But he DID soak them first

He has gone scuttling off with a torch to check for impacted sheep

I love him so much but it would be great if he would listen to me sometimes :lol::lol:

The on going one here is buying smallholders range - both super mixed corn and chick crumb come in brown bags. The number of times he has come home with a yellow (layers pellets) & brown bag, but the wrong brown bag - apparently reading the label is too much and it is all Allen & Pages fault for having a confusing colour coding system.
