tasr12
Having today purchased an Eglu can anyone tell me where I can get 2-3 Gingernut Rangers? I'm in Poole, Dorset so local would be useful. Thanks a lot, T.
Raina
Hello, You could try looking here http://www.omlet.co.uk/breeds/map_view.php?breed_type=Chickens Oh and Welcome to the forums
Space Chick
I can't help with local breeders but there are other chickens similar or the same to Gingernut rangers eg. warrens. If you found a local breeder and wanted advice, pop on and we'll all help
karlotta
Chalkhill Poultry near Cranborne have lovely chooks including various hybrids, and the pet shop at Lytchett Minster had chickens in the summer/autumn last year - both would be worth a phone call. smanners
Chalk Hill Poultry has lots of different pure breeds and Hybrids to look at and choose and is well worth a visit (4 miles beyond Cranborne). Nick the owner is lovely and very helpful. I love it there. Horton Vale Nursery and Tearooms Nr Wimborne is nice too. Vines Close on A31 towards Sturminster Newton have Warrens for £12 in season (not yet towards end of March usually). Good luck
Madchook
Do Horton Vale do chickens? I drive past very regularly and always notice the rabbits or duckling for sale signs! Had it been chickens I might had screeched to a halt before now

snorkieuk
Hi, We got our Speckled Star and Light Sussex from http://www.racefarmpoultry.co.uk/ near Lytchett Minster. She's has quite a selection, worth a go if you're in the area.
karlotta
I tried to pop into Horton Vale on my way home today, but they were closed at 4.40 (gate said open till 5) - guess I'll have to wait till Saturday
tasr12
Thanks for the tips that will be a weekend project. I'd like to give the hens an increased run netting off part of the garden. Does anyone know of any good chicken wire suppliers in S Dorset? The 25m chicken netting on the Omlet website looks good but a bit expensive at £60+ are there any better value options out there? Thanks for your time, T
