We're having an extension built and the chickens have been delighted to roam free over the mounds of earth once the builders have gone home. They've found plenty of juicy worms

Great pix. We had some building work done about a year ago. At first the gals were totally petrified by the sound of gravel sliding out of the dumper, but then Dilly realised that the huge tyres were churning up the earth. Next thing, chickens in front of any machine that was working.

 

After that we had to keep them locked in until the machhines had finished for the day.

Obviously for health and safety reasons they are not allowed to enter the site while the work is going on because we couldn't find hard hats small enough

Wot no builders tea and bum cleavage I hope your builders dont think they are dinner - when our builder a lovely Irish guy saw the kids rabbits he asked if they were for Christmas dinner the kids were horrified and gave him a wide berth after that.

When my builders were here building the footings for the WIR and then the WIR itself, they would talk to the girls all day, and would take them worms they had found.

 

No wonder the work took forever
