Just thought I'd share my excitement...we got two new girls yesterday...Gertrude...Magpie and Clara...Speckledy.

 

Clara laid her first egg today...a gorg dark brown speckled egg...just perfect.

 

For anyone who is interested we got them from Thornes and they have all these hybrids in stock at the moment...

congratulations! Thornes is lovely for a visit and chook buying session, my wonderful cockerel Tarzan came from there (see avatar pic) so I am slightly biased

OMG...after fiddling about for ages I finally did it YAY...phew!

Eggs laid by girls today...Stella (white), Cleo (cream), Mildred (pale green), Fifi (cream) and Clara (dark brown speckle)

 

Cleo...who insisted on having her pic taken yesterday!
