Charlottechicken
Just wondered if anyone is going to this over the weekend. I went today, just for a look around (courtesy of Tesco clubcard ) and had no intention of buying anything. I have to say I have never been so gobsmacked by the array of lovely crafty things available. I watched a woman spinning strips of old plastic bags to knit up into eco shoppers, and two rather eccentric ladies felting. I also watched someone knitting a metal wire bracelet There were enough beautiful glass bead pendant things (lampwork?) to sink a battleship, all stunning, with matching or contrasting ribbon lanyards. The displays of work were truly stunning, completely took my breath away. There were even people selling papier mache shapes to paint or decoupage onto, I found a chicken shaped one. A man on the stall was painting onto a large giraffe I was surprised to see the price of the strings of freshwater pearls to make jewellery out of too, really cheap. In the end I did purchase some bits and pieces, just a couple of pairs of lovely comfy tiny pliers and a jewellers loupe, and some fine drill bits. I could easily have spent a fortune on the felty stuff and glass beads. Oh, and if you looked hard enough you could find plenty of chicken stuff but I couldn't find a chicken shaped button on any of the button stalls

Charlottechicken
No, it wasn't as nice as that one! Only about 4" high and a general standing chicken shape. I like that though, you could put allsorts in there!!
Plum
Wow. That would be great to cover in batik fabrics. You know glue on with fabric glue. Lovely shape
