Does anybody ever feel ..... Part # 19

Recommended Posts

Afternoon all! Been trying to find somewhere to stay in Bude in August. Cottages are just ridiculously expensive, static caravans don't seem to do weekends in August, got a bit confused with the assortment of B&B's and Guest Houses. My parents have said they'll come too to look after the kids while we're at the wedding, but I don't know if we're better off camping and taking the kids to the wedding. At least I know where I am with a campsite, although the baby will be only about a month or so old. Aaarrggghhh!!! I've waited 9 years for my friend to get married, why did she have to choose Bude in August, the busiest, most expensive time of the year?

oooh you scared me Sandie!!!

Not enough to stop asking questions though :anxious:

Cube run holes are 1/2 inches.......ok.....so........if i were to pop them in the rabbit run (1/half inch mesh) and put them inside the cube run that would be more secure - hypothetically of course.

T'would be more secure hypothetically

Or get some clear polycarbonate sheets + put it around the bottom so they can't stick their heads out.

What are they gonna be called?

Hope you sort somewhere to stay for the wedding PT :)

Right..I have had a quiet word with myself and told myself that if I take in every waif and stray that I come across I will be known as "the weird cat and chicken woman"....oh wait...i already am :?

ANYHOOOO! I have emailed the guy back and said that I am unable to take the quail due to the number of chicks/growers I will have in the coming weeks and that he might want to try putting them on Practical Pol forum FTGH.

Sensible Em has returned!

Chickwiggle we are used to camping, it's what we usually do for holidays, but I've not taken a baby that young. We took Olly to Spain when he was 4months old and Dan was 2 and a half, but we had the in-laws and their caravan with us, so we could use their fridge and kettle. I do quite fancy a long weekend, if my parents came it would only be one night and it seems a long way to go just for one night. My friend actually lives in Kidderminster and has done since leaving school, but I think they wanted to keep it small so came to the conclusion of going away. They haven't booked anywhere to stay themselves yet - they've only booked the registry office so far! She's got a lot of organising to do over the next few months.

After feeding Sausage with his titbits over the last few years I was already known as the crazy bird lady before the chickens came! But aren't those quail cutiepies? Nice pics Lewis. Ciaran came home the other day and asked what would happen if he brought home a kitten. Murray and I both said that's not going to happen in harmony - oh we should take on Broadway. No, not that - what would happen with the chickens and a kitten. I told him that they would eat it. :liar:

Erin was pulled over by a policeman on a motorbike the other day. Had she been drinking? No. Well you are driving a bit erratically. We're doing a treasure hunt. My friend has to do any alcohol and we're looking for blah de blah. Oh I see, well drive carefully then. Later on outside KFC they spot a poor policeman having his takeaway while sitting in his car. Please Mr PC can we sit in the back of your car and take a photo for our treasure hunt? Fine as long as you finish before I finish my tea. Her friend in all had to have 6 shots of brandy and later on a brandy and something mix. Luckily there were more of them doing it. She had a pirate flag on her car and a sign on the side saying "Crazy Chefs" which was their team name and they all wore their chef's whites. I think they are looking forward to next year's one.

You know you want them really, Em.

Blinking Nora, I go to bed for a nap and madness has ensued.

Em - I can't believe you said no to the Quail

Debs wouldn't mind quail, as they use Quails eggs a lot in Michelin starred cookery :wink:

Lyns has been talking sense to me via PM's, I have seen lots of groovy equipment and ingredients they use in Pro Kitchens and Debs wants  I have bought a few cheap things, however I have to stop now :( I suspect that Phil is getting a tad cross, as apparently we do not live in a restaurant, and a new piece of £500 equipment does not class as a household emergency :cry:

Whilst yesterday was a fab experience I do have major league kitchen envy, but I have to remember that I went into a Michelin starred kitchen, and I live in a normal house in Neath and only cook for friends and family :anxious::doh:

Debs kitchen will soon be all gleaming aluminium with fancy cookers! :D Glad you had a fabby time even if you are coming back to Earth with a bump.

I so want a Maine Coon cat. I would have loved to adopt Paola's but 2 people in this house have a big allergy to cats and one of those was asking about the kitten. Which is why our furball is called Kitty as it's the nearest we'll get to having one!

Technically I'm allergic to cats + dogs ... but me ignores this

Used to be really bad but have pretty much grown out of it now :)

Welcome back to non-celeb live Debs

Does Lewis detect a new purchase though? - a new use for the eglu maybe?

I was allergic to dogs, now I don't come into contact with them for any length of time so I don't know if I still am. Wheeze wheeze. Can't believe I'm still croaking. One week and it's really making me cross now. Rant stamp stamp rip a tissue.

Oh great now here comes the blinking cough.

 I'm OK in myself thankies, just frustrated! I would love a good night's sleep - I've been on the settee trying not to disturb Murray as he was off to London early at 5.30. Mind you when I'm awake he starts snoring so I gave up - went back when he had gone. Then I had another 40 winks on the settee while Erin was sorting herself out for college and felt a lot better after that. I am going to have to take a picture of her with her new Jersey Giant.
