chelsea
I have given up on watching Grand designs and programmes like this eg - relocation relocation, escape to the country, build your own home in the country etc. They make me very depressed . I dont know whether its just me but they always seem to have people with ridiculous budgets (over £500,000 to spend) and not what I call normal budgets. It like last nights program, they had 3 mortgages totalling £900,000.....I know its none of my business but how on earth do they pay it back?? I would love nothing better to move to the country and/or build a dream home, we both work full time and earn good money but its out of our reach. the house last night was beautiful and full credit to them, but why cant they feature more people with less than £300,000 to spend on all these types of programmes??!! bronze
Now I want to know how did you know it was a ducklu? I saw it but its such a wee glimpse it would be impossible to tell Chelsea I know how you feel. We live in an excouncil house in the country instead because I wasnt going to wait for a lottery win forever. I often watch escape to the country too. I recorded todays (or was it yesterday) but I saw a smidgen of the beginning. The chavs move to devon!
chelsea
I used to watch them all the time....I've decided they make me so jealous and depressed that im not going to put myself through it anymore. Im lucky enough to live in the country....but I dont have a sprawling manor or acres of land...just a little semi in a cul-de-sac Should be happy with what I've got eh? Martin B
Chelsea I know exactly what you mean. My mum and dad both work full time in well paid jobs but the amount of money that people on those programmes have is way above our heads! As you know I've been at home this week and I saw an episode of I think relocation relocation, and the person on it said they had a budget of £300,000. Then the presenter said "Oooh I don't think you'll be able to live for that." *******
