I am ultra cautious when spending large amounts of money and my, oh no we have no money don't spend a penny instinct keeps kicking in even though we can just about afford oen. But I still have my peanuts if they can't. I wonder if the new feeders are rat-proof? They look harder to get at than the present ones. I only use the glug; with 8 hens, there was a lot of fighting even with 2 peanuts/grubs, so I got a long galvanised trough with a lip so that they can't toss the pellets out.
