I am impressed to see your tortoise charging about. Ours has mostly lurked at the end of the garden looking cold since he woke up 6-ish weeks ago. We need some warmer weather to encourage him to eat!

Poor old Kev had to come in twice last week to go under the heatlamp. He got too cold outside, went all sleepy and buried himself. Once he warmed up he ate like crazy and is now off again. He hates it so much indoors even though he has the run of the house when he is in. We daren't keep him in for too long as he gets proper grumpy.

Does Kevin pooh everywhere if you bring him indoors, as my Humphrey does? Humphrey also attacks the chickens. Mind you he is so territorial he attacks everything that dare show its face in HIS garden

He's not bad when he comes in for the winter as he stops eating but when he wakes up from his winter sleep it is a different story. The first poo is the worst especially when he drags his shell through it I try to keep him restricted to the utility room but he is good at blundering his way through doors

He hates it so much indoors even though he has the run of the house when he is in. We daren't keep him in for too long as he gets proper grumpy.

 

Our tortoise also gets very grumpy if we bring him indoors. We have put him under the heat lamp in the past but as soon as he gets warm he starts charging at the door to escape! So we tend not to bother now. He refuses to eat indoors anyway. Thankfully these last couple of days have been quite warm and he's been eating well. These animals can be such a worry!

Mine hates being indoors and won't eat either. We built him a run, and the top is our old double glazed kitchen window, so he sits under there and it gets quite warm.

 

Today Marigold looked at him with her head on one side then pecked his head, which he immediately pulled into his shell. She walked off with a kind of 'sorted' swagger
