quickcluck
I won't do them any harm. but make sure that you restrict treat till the afternoon, so that they can stock up on pellets in the mornings as they really give them everything they need. I give mine fish once a week as a treat, I give them sardines as tuna is tooooooooo expensive!
Mollie333
i got told that you shouldnt give your girls fish as too much as the eggs start to taste like it
Foot-tapper506
My chooks LOVE any kind of fish, especially tuna and sardines (I buy the cheap own brand tins). I usually mix it with a little left over rice, or pasta. They dont have it regularly, but maybe once a fortnight as a treat in the afternoon. It is really difficult to put their treat dish down without them jumping all over it, and me, knocking it everywhere,so I make sure they are not watching before putting it in their FR area. It is so funny watching them run when they realise the treat has arrived Banana is another favourite and probiotic yoghurt.
-sarahjayne
Mine get one or two treats daily this is mainly grapes (only a handful) or some corn, banana or peas left over from dinner etc... it's fine aslong as in small quantities and as long as its at the end of the day so they get the required ammount of pelets
chicken bark
Banana is another favourite and probiotic yoghurt. I give mine probiotic yoghurt too. Not given them banana - is that safe for them? Personally I try to give them a small treat late afternoon. Each day it is something different. Marmite is supposed to be good for hens. So that is a handy use for the crusts I cut off my son's sarnies.
Olly
Bananas are fine, no need to peel them either. I chuck them in whole and they disappear!
chicken bark
Bananas are fine, no need to peel them either. I chuck them in whole and they disappear! Thanks Olly. Always have a ready supply of slightly overripe bananas.

txswanie
Cut the banana and skin in half. They will eat out of it like a trough.
Space Chick
Mine get fruit or greens more days a week than they don't, and get some corn/mealworms in the evening to get them back in their run. They only have tuna and probiotic yoghurt when they are ill though, although sometimes the do steal that cats food and milk
