The Dogmother
We went to the Luminox display in Broad Street, Oxford on Saturday night - the displays were fantastic, and made vene more dramatic by the high winds funnelled down the street blowing the flames and cinders around. Here are some piccies from the site:

The Dogmother
They'd turned off all electric lighting in the street so that it was just lit by fire. Amazing!

The Dogmother
It was only by chance that we saw it - Phil saw it in a local news item on TV. Unfortunately Rosie was with her dad this weekend - she'd have loved it.

Louise
Yes I can just see them trying to explain why Exeter College or the old Bodlean Library went up in flames
Lesley
Carl says when you join the Bodleian you have to read out a declaration stating you will obey the rules of the library and "won't kindle a flame therein"
