Room 101

Recommended Posts

The poo that the dozens and dozens of swallows make in our barn (where we store masses of things) every summer. It smells disgusting and looks horrendous. We have bought loads of plastic sheeting to cover everything, but it is still really disgusting. I do love the swallows though.

I always thought that for such a small lightweight bird, how come they produce so much poo. We have them in the barn and the stable (we've no horses). Send the poo to 101 and keep the swallows. I love it when they arrive, but sad to see them leave..... :boohoo:

Good one Fred! :lol:

Tractors that trundle along a 60mph limit at a speed of 15mph and refuse to pull in when there is an opportunity to let the mile or so queue behind them can continue at a better pace. Not exceeding the limit as so many often seem to do. I'm with Poet, stop tailgating me and driving up my bottom when I'm doing 30 in a 30mph zone. So into 101 go bad drivers whatever vehicle.

And cyclists who go the wrong way in one way streets and hurl abuse because you are watching the traffic coming from the other direction. Cyclists take note - you are breaking the law and into 101 you go. Also lycra clad maniacs who insist on cycling 5 abreast and make no effort to move to the side. I pay tax to go on the road (pot holed and stoney and damaging the car either by the depth of the hole or the stones that fly up from other cars to chip the paintwork). Garghhhh!

OK it's hot, I'm complaining - I'd better go in 101 too.

The way I feel today, I think I ought to join you, along with my gander who has developped a passionate hatred for me and keeps nipping me really hard :x He could well find his way onto someon'es table if he keeps this up, or just into 101.

inconsiderate people who invade your personal space - we were at the Waddington air show yesterday and had pitched our spot early, only for a group of teenage boys to come and stand right in front of us where there was clearly no room. We finally edged them out but it really annoyed me.

all litter

people who cut across in front of you

people who don't let you finish a sentence

non-recyclable packaging - thankfully not much now

sunday trading hours when i need something and the shops have just shut

I really should not have started reading this thread but moaning can be so much fun can't it?

Many of these have already appeared so apologies for that...

* People in bibs hanging around outside the sandwich shop in town, ready to ambush people.

* People refusing to take responsibility for their own actions.

* Youths in Youth Court who want to be respected without realising that respect is not a right and has to be earned. (whole different story that I won't bore you with!)

* Middle lane hoggers.

* Drivers who drive at 40 mph irrespective of whether the limit is 60 mph or 30 mph

* Smoking - especially around children and at young people's sports matches.

* Those motor cyclists who don't think that the rules of the road apply to them.

* Chicken poo on the patio

* "LIke" being used in the wrong place and far too often by my DD.

* Monday mornings.

* People who slow down as they approach a green traffic light and then go through it once it has changed - leaving me having to stop when I could have got through had they not braked so much.;

* My inability to have just one plain choc digestive and then stop rather than eat the whole packet.

I think that that will do as I need to go to bed now to be able to face Monday morning!

:lol: Happens to me a lot! They keep driving up my bum in a 30 mph when I had overtaken them on a dual carriageway several minutes before! :roll:

And another one - the same 40mph drivers that suddenly want to race you when you overtake on a dual carriageway because "you shall not PASS".

*Chequebooks, card machines and biros in banks, shops and post offices which are all designed or positioned to be used by right handed people only.

You've missed a trick there Egluntyne - my DH has had a left handed cheque book for years. The rest I agree with!

I have enjoyed this thread - makes me feel better about my grumps :D I think there's a lot of them all ready listed.

The Daily Mail and it's ridiculous stable mate the Mail on Sunday.

At least the Red Tops don't try to pretend they are any thing else.

My aged mother tuts and tuts for hours over her copy before coming out with some world shattering answer to some medical problem or some piece of racist/sexist/anythingist drivel gleaned from its pages and it drives me crazy!!!! ( I wouldn't put her in though :wink::wink: )

Phew!!!! I feel much better now :lol::lol:

:shock: Ooh deja vue. My mum is the same. Although this morning I think I will put her in. Her constant barrage of e-mails is winding me up something terrible. I see her 3 days in the week - staying with us for 2 nights and she only lives 5 minutes walk away. Then on my "days off" she wants me to go over to her house! Yep, bye mother for sending me one too many e-mails this morning.9.gif

I so agree with this. I have to put up with several rants from my mother based on questionable journamlism.

On a side note - I am slightly worried that I saw the word "red top" and immediately thought of fly traps!!!

I agree too, i find it a bit worrying that The Sun is the country's best selling "newspaper". The Daily Mail should be banned!!! I'll stick to The Independent.

I also want to stick in people who have too many children, population control is needed to sustain life on this planet.

I agree with you there Clare. My nan used to get gold top milk from the farm up the road and that with cornflakes for tea was the best ever treat!

Must admit I thought Fly traps! :lol:

Mother has been duly pushed into room 101 and now stuck in the dungeon for her manipulative, stress creating behaviour which caused me to let rip.
