My daughter is a Chicken...

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Just a light hearted story that happened to me yesterday.

My daughter is nearly 6 years old, and really enjoying being involved with keeping Chickens, she has even started eating eggs now, as she wouldnt touch them with a barge pole 12 days ago (Only had Chickens 12 days now)

Anyway, i bought a bag of mealworms for the Chickens, and i keep them in a storage shed outside. They arent the live wriggly ones, they are already dead and come in a sealed packet. (As i cant get them in my area alive)

I noticed my daughter was in the shed, tidying all the chicken food bags up etc. About 10 mins later she comes walking upto me holding an OPEN bag of mealworms, while also MUNCHING....

Im like, "What you doing princess" she is like "Dad are these the worms they eat on that "Im A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here"??????

Im like yes i think so lol, only to find she is eating them, saying "MMMMmmm there actually really nice, do they come in any other flavour" I paused, laughed, and swiftly took them off her.

Luckily they are full of protein lol, but my word, having to hide a bag of mealworms from your child rather than a pack of Doritio's is scary.

One for her wedding day i think!!!!!!

Regards

Mark

Oh yeah, me too, i used to pinch a bag from under the kitchen sink, run to the top of the garden and share them with my Alsation lol. Wonder if they do 'Share Size Winalot' nowadays lol...

Ok I can't say that I'm partial to pet food - the fish flakes put me off (ate the whole tub though) :vom: - but I used to share smarties with my dog as a child. Not like one for you, one for me, oh no........... the dog licked the colour off until the crispy shell was white, then I ate it.

It could be why I was wormed a lot as a child
