chickiepiggies
This is Muggles, She was PTS sleep yesterday my favourite chicken and last of my ex-battys. She was the most inquisitive of all my chickens always interested in everything i did in the garden and there WIR. She was the first to check the quality of my cleaning of the cube, and sang everyday when Sooty and Snowy had laid there eggs, she even sat with them while they laid keeping them company and they never minded. She Always loved the camera, always posed when i got it out. She had stopped laying last year around June and never laid again but that didn't matter, she had 14 months out of the cages and best time ever in the garden spoilt rotten. She had a relapse of peritonitis and went down hill very quickly all she want to do was go to sleep. Sleep well my chickie piggie run free in the sky with your sisters for ever more. xx

capper
RIP Muggles so sorry for your loss - I have had my ex-batts for a month now and one went quiet the other day, not interested in food and standing still with her wings away from her body, I was so worried - luckily she was back to normal the next day after laying a humungus egg but they really do get under your skin and you must take comfort in knowing how happy she must have been getting her natural instincts back and being a real chick for the first time.
