Toy Story 3

Recommended Posts

Went to see Toy Story 3 last night - absolutely brilliant.

Made me cry (anything about kids growing up and leaving makes me blub) and was hilarious as well. Not to give too much away as it would spoil it but there is a genius twist with Buzz Lightyear which had the whole cinema screaming with laughter.

Do go and see it - we were 6 adults. Kids would love it as well obviously but the story and jokes are quite sophisticated.

You do feel a bit of a nerd sitting there with the 3D glasses on, but hey, it is dark!

We're taking our eldest next Wednesday, booked the tickets. We're seeing in 2D though, just don't fancy 3D and I think Dan would fiddle with the glasses rather than watching the film. Really looking forward to it though, a few friends have said it made them cry, so I shall make sure I've got tissues at the ready.

We went to see it on Monday evening in 3D. Its was really good, and I did have a little tear in my eye *sobs* at a certain moment in the film (won't spoil it for those who are yet to see it, but I am sure those who have will know the bit I mean). Its quite a poignant time for this film to be released, what with DS (and many other kids all over the country) leaving yr 6 today and off to secondary school in September :cry:

It's great. My 2 grew up with the first 2 films and are at Andy's sort of age so I wept buckets as the toys felt like my own kids' toys and the nostaglia for lost childhood is very relevant at my house at the moment. But it's clever and witty and very sophisticated as well as funny. Do go. Not just for kids but it adds to the poignancy if you have seen the first 2. :)

We saw it in 3D a little earlier today. DD (age 5) screamed at one 'scary' part and nearly chucked her popcorn all over the place, but she cuddled into me without taking her eyes off the screen. DS (age 8) just lapped the whole film up. But I think the one who enjoyed it the most was DH who's still talking about it now! Great film :)
