Chickendoodle
Went to see Toy Story 3 last night - absolutely brilliant. Made me cry (anything about kids growing up and leaving makes me blub) and was hilarious as well. Not to give too much away as it would spoil it but there is a genius twist with Buzz Lightyear which had the whole cinema screaming with laughter. Do go and see it - we were 6 adults. Kids would love it as well obviously but the story and jokes are quite sophisticated. You do feel a bit of a nerd sitting there with the 3D glasses on, but hey, it is dark! chickric
Glad you enjoyed it, we're planning on seeing it soon Can't wait.
emily95
I went to see in on wednesday (orange wednesday!) and i thought it was fantastic. We saw it in 2D, because 3D makes my dad feel sick. I'm going to go and see it in 3D with my friends soon I would definitely recommend it!
PurpleTree
We're taking our eldest next Wednesday, booked the tickets. We're seeing in 2D though, just don't fancy 3D and I think Dan would fiddle with the glasses rather than watching the film. Really looking forward to it though, a few friends have said it made them cry, so I shall make sure I've got tissues at the ready.
poachedegg
We are going to go Monday - will probably go 3D so DD gets the effects, though as I have a squint I can't see 3D, it just looks normal to me, but still have to wear the glasses or it would just be blurry! sadietoo
My 17 year old DS went to see it with his mates on Wednesday..(I have a lovely image of them elbowing the seven year olds out of the way screaming "We've waited years for this!") anyway, the verdict "epic" -
bluekarin
We went to see it on Monday evening in 3D. Its was really good, and I did have a little tear in my eye *sobs* at a certain moment in the film (won't spoil it for those who are yet to see it, but I am sure those who have will know the bit I mean). Its quite a poignant time for this film to be released, what with DS (and many other kids all over the country) leaving yr 6 today and off to secondary school in September
alih
It's great. My 2 grew up with the first 2 films and are at Andy's sort of age so I wept buckets as the toys felt like my own kids' toys and the nostaglia for lost childhood is very relevant at my house at the moment. But it's clever and witty and very sophisticated as well as funny. Do go. Not just for kids but it adds to the poignancy if you have seen the first 2. Lewis
I saw it a couple of wednesdays ago in 3D - thought it was great I think the adults were more scared than most of the kids though!
Chucky Mama
We went today, it was fab. Didn't do 3D as ES saw it in 3D and said it made him feel a bit sick and there were only a few scenes that it made a difference to (in his opinion)
LuckyChickenLover-
Went to watch it today. Saw it in 3D as all the seats in the normal version had been taken . So sad at the end.
kitbag
I saw it on Tuesday and I blubbed like a baby! I'm pretty much Andy's age and I grew up with the films! It feels a bit like the end of an era! Is that slightly wierd!?
alih
Kitbag, my teens said the same and felt quite bereaved at the end! As did I! You are completely normal and not at all weird

PurpleTree
We took Daniel to see it on Wednesday, in 2D, it was fab, Dan barely took his eyes off the screen. I didn't cry at all though, I was most disappointed
Clur
We saw it in 3D a little earlier today. DD (age 5) screamed at one 'scary' part and nearly chucked her popcorn all over the place, but she cuddled into me without taking her eyes off the screen. DS (age just lapped the whole film up. But I think the one who enjoyed it the most was DH who's still talking about it now! Great film
AJuff
We all loved it!!! What a fab film!!
