Ms Marple
I love my orginal ones, walkstar, and am trying to get hold off walkstar III does anyone know if the fit is different? I have both Walkstar I and IWalkstar III in my collection and I feel that the III is a more snug fit. The Walkstar I stretched a bit I think. I Wear my III's around the house as slippers as I find them so comfy. I guess Fitflops work for my comfort-wise as I have 4 different pairs
quickcluck
Hmmmmmm that's what I was worried about. I suppose I could order them and return if they are not quite right..... my others are lovely, even better than my crocs!
Groovychook
Could anybody tell me if a child size 4 would differ from an adult 4? I'd love a pair of FitFlops- especially the silver sparkly ones & the kids ones are so much cheaper!
The Dogmother
They are the same; I wear an adult 3 and tried a pair of children's 3s on locally... same size.

kinsk
I love mine and practically live in them. At the beginning of each summer they do rub a bit between the toes but then so do all toe posts after that they are fine. I walk the dog just over a mile in mine every morning and have no problems. I do notice a slight difference in my legs but mainly they really help my back. The only downside I have found is that the hens peck at my toenails if they are painted and they don't offer much protection when a pig stands on your foot! Did get OH to wear them for a few hours last nigght to stretch the band across the foot as I had found it catched a bit but its ok now. I love the thick sole, cant feel my muscles being challenged although my sister did. Not walking knock kneed any more thank goodness

geb0205
I'm afraid I don't rate them whatsoever. I had 4 patients complaining of sciatica having worn fitflops for a couple of weeks last year and 2 so far this summer. Doesn't help my opinion of them. I like the idea of the MBT's but my own personal experience of those is not good. Have you all seen the Vibram 5 fingers?
quickcluck
I have, my nephew has a pair and just loves them! Not quite the sandel I was looking for tho.... Anyone seen this article today? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1301665/Walking-miracles-They-promise-help-treat-diabetes-poor-circulation-new-generation-health-shoes-live-hype.html
miffy
just been looking at that article, I wouldn't give most of them house room style wise!!! I would rate fitflops more than 5 though. But I shall wait and see how I get on over the rest of the summer.

I like the idea of the MBT's but my own personal experience of those is not good. I have been thinking about buying FitFlops....Do you think they cause more problems than conventional flipflops? I practically live in flipflops during the summer - mainly low wedges but also flat ones. I first wore them 40 years ago and have a toe-post gap between my toes! quickcluck
I like the MBT's , but really need a sandal/flipflop, which was why I thought another pair of walkstars! Then saw the sketchers, but they dont do white :x
The Dogmother
Bear in mind that (as with a lot of physical exercises) they won't 'work' unless your posture is correct when you wear them.
Alis girls
Mine are old and in need of replacing - very comfy but cant say my bum or legs looked any more toned
sadietoo
I have a pair of the basic fitflops, which are very comfy. I don't have any toe post issues, but I do find them a bit baggy over the top, and the glittery ones were miles too big (wide) for my size 6 feet. Perhaps this isn't an issue in smaller sizes. I'm really not sure that they do much for the legs/posterior exercise wise, but they aren't as odd looking as mbts either (sorry to all of you who have them, but they do look like some sort of orthopaedic aid), and they are great for flopping about in the summer. For comfort however I love my Birkenstock sandals the best. I can walk for miles in them or stand all day without so much as a twinge. Sadly they aren't smart enough for work
chicken bark
Been really pleased with my Walkstar IIIs and have had no problem with the toe post. Worn them for the last couple of summers permanently and aside from the chicken toe nail pecking issue have had no problems. They are the comfiest footwear I've ever worn and the fact you can just scrub them clean is a bonus. I don't think there has been any marked difference in the toning up side though. Wolfie75
I am a fit flop and flip flop lover, can not wait to be able to wear them as soon as spring appears, where them rain or shine, lovely and comfy, my pair is still going strong in their 3rd yr!..x
Heidi-Hi
Just seen this post - more than a year later I am a HUGE fan. Brown pair, two black pairs (all sandals) and an old black pair that lives outside the back door , and then comes winter... Black boots, and a pair of shiny purple Happy Goghs... I am addicted, I love them so much... although, I have a sneaky suspision they have something to do with the sciatica I have in both legs and bumcheeks Still can't resist them, most comfortable shoe EVER
