chick wiggle
Awww, how cute! I love the way they follow mum around, then wander off a little bit only to scuttle back to mum again Adorable Egluntyne
Egluntyne
Has Him Indoors noticed them yet? He has, amazingly. He took one look and said 'not much meat on them'.

Egluntyne
They are never still! I've not been able to focus on any individual one long enough to ponder on gender.

Egluntyne
Update. Now 18 days old. They are really difficult to photograph as they zoom about like things possessed. Feathering up well. At the moment I'm thinking 2 of each.
Griffin
The top one is definitely a boy. Lovely chicks

Griffin
Lovely photos, thanks for those. It's helped confirmed what I thought about my cuckoo Poland chick, Dilys. I had thought all along she was a girl but with no brother to compare her barring to I sometimes had doubts but after seeing those I feel sure Dilys is a girl. Just need to wait another three or four months now to see what the silver laced Polands are

Egluntyne
4 weeks old now. The 2 definite boys have gone. The remaining two are at that awkward scruffy stage.

Egluntyne
Now 9 weeks old. I'd lost track of the time and thought we were in week 7. Here they are enjoying an apple with Maud. They look much lighter in the top picture than they actually are. One is lighter than the other, but I'm pretty confident that it is a girl. Very different from the 2 obvious boys, and has girly feather tips and girly behaviour. We'll see.
Griffin
They've really shot up! They're almost as big as Maud!
