patsylabrador
Hope you have a lovely time - If you have limited time I would suggest not bothering with Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, Oxford street or Oxford Circus, they will be ridiculously crowded and I think they're over-rated anyway. If you fancy shopping I would head for Covent Garden and the surrounding strreets, Neal's Yard etc. Lots of interesting shops. The Transport museum in Covent Garden is interesting but vastly overpriced. I would be inclined to visit more in the vicinity of Trafalgar Square, The Mall, Westminster or the Tower of London and my all time favourite the South Bank especially as they have a (small and expensive) Christmas Market. If you all fancy a museum, the Imperial War Museum is excellent and free and only a short walk from the river. I love the London Aquarium which is next to the Eye, but again it is expensive and I would imagine on that day, too crowded to enjoy the fish. I've never done a tour bus but I think they're a good way of seeing around the sights without too much hard work, I think it's a good idea to do some research online first as some aren't as good as they should be. Hope this helps. I don't know the dates, but I think there's a Christmas Market in Hyde Park, I haven't been to it so I don't know if it's good or not. Seagazer
The Duck Tour is good, you drive around in an amphibious vehicle and find out lots of interesting facts about London and then go into the river. You'll love the fireworks. We saw it this year from a boat that toured up and down and then moored by the Houses of Parliament. Such a fantastic atmosphere. Guest
and the good thing about the bus tours is that you can get off wherever you like and then just get on another one when you're ready. All included in the one ticket. Hop on, hop off!
Old Speckled Hen
How about going Ice skating at The Natural History Museum ( you could go see the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition there as well ......... breathtaking pictures), Kew Gardens, or Hampton Court, lots to see there too, even in winter

Went on one of those today I'd really recomend it. I can't remember the price off the top of my head but i think it was something like £30 for a family of 4 so not too expensive.
