Charlottechicken
Anyone else think it went dark early tonight? I realised at around 6.05pm that it was no longer daylight and went down to let the girls have a suppertime forage, they could hardly see. It is now 7.11pm and black as pitch out there. Snowy
Yes! I noticed at about 6 ish as well as we take the boys to beavers at this time, and I thought how dark it was compared to this time last week when we walked down in sunshine! Shirl
Wow really? I didn't notice at all! I think I was busy trying to get the kids to eat dinner still.
Looney
Yes, I really noticed it tonight. Soon I will be going to work and getting home in the dark....well, until I go on maternity leave anyway!
Griffin
I noticed it on Tuesday because I leave for the short drive to work at 6.10pm and I had to use my headlights for the first time
Olly
I know. I don't usually get in till about six, and there's barely time to let the hens out for free-ranging. It's going to be weekends only now, till about March. In the winter I am going out and coming home in the dark.
The Dogmother
I noticed it tonight, but then it hasn't really been properly light today any how.
Plum
Roll on Spring. I hate these early nights and when does the hour alter to make it worse.
Cinnamon
I have noticed for the past week or so,as I work from 5-7. It is now very dark when I finish. Of course it will soon be dark when I start to which will be very odd!
Lewis
We noticed this week too. Had practicals on the other campus till 5, came back on the bus and within half an hour it was dark!
CallyChook
It's been about a week here since I thought "good grief, it's black outside and OH has already gone out to work!" in the mornings. I'm trying to stay happy about winter and have bought a mulled wine scented thingie for the back lounge, started lighting the candles again of an evening which together with one soft lamp and the coal fire give it a lovely glow (aided by the fact that in my wackiness I pained all walls and ceilings buttermilk yellow, save one which is a deep terracotta - meant to be blood red but wilkos paint let me down!) There's no way of disguising or cheering up a dreary bleak morning though in my book. the day just gets better as it goes along.
