MammaT Posted October 22, 2010 Share Posted October 22, 2010 Well - I've just finished blow-drying a bag of wet sand with my hairdryer in the shed!!!! It seemed a fairly logical thing to do until I was in the middle of it. It's for the hens' dustbath and the sack got left out in the rain so it was that or nothing (well I'm sure most people wouldn't have bothered)... It's now mixed in with some compost (that was already dry) and in tubs for both the chickens and the quail who were looking a bit bored.. I'm not sure if it was a brainwave or a bit of a mental seizure!!! Guess what - the chickens haven't been near it - they're too busy scratching around in the old, soaking wet, sand/dirt mixture I tipped out to replace. Worse than children who always end up playing with the cardboard box... Some people just have way toooooo much time on their hands... I actually managed to get into the wrong car (long time ago but never forgotten ). My friend had stopped to let me post a letter and while she was waiting, she moved her car a few spaces. I came back and jumped into the passenger seat (moving a big roll of paper to do so) then looked round to see a very bemused (and amused) middle-aged gentleman looking back at me .
