Hypno gastric band........ UPDATE!

Recommended Posts

someone posted on here a while back about this, but as far as I recall "Ooops, word censored!"ody came forward to say they had tried it. Can you elaborate a bit - I take it you have hypnosis that makes you think you've had a band fitted, so you eat less - is that right? How long ago did you have it, and how encouraging is it? I'm interested in this, would love to hear more.

Well, i've had 3 sessions.......... The first 1 was visualising the gastric band being put in - very weird. I'd never had this sort of hynosis before. But I can remember every word that was said!!

It definatley had some effect, my eating habids definately changed.

The second session I was asked what I thought my hardest things were i.e food types, dodgy times of the day etc.... the band was 'tightened' and the script was directed at these areas. This definately had some effect, immediately!

3rd session was much the same. I was warned that it could take 2 weeks to take effect, and inbetween the first and second session I had a week away and wasn't tempted at all, and gained no weight.

The last 2 weeks have been great so since the beginning I'm about a stone down :D

I can honestly say I'm not hungry, craving NO foods not eating between meals and feeling very positive!

I thought long and hard before posting on here, as I'm a fairly private person, but thought I might find a kindred spirit to buddy me along a bit!

I've tried the Paul McKenna cd's with a small amount of success...but finding an hour's peace and quiet is impossible...this sounds great. I am not a big eater..but a person with a funny relationship with food. Mom used food to comfort and solace, and to reward me...hence my choc consumption...I'd be really interested in giving this a go...

It's odd how we have an odd relationship with food. I'd never really seen myself as a comfort eater, big eater or an over indulger, however, something I'm doing is obviously very wrong!

I'm really pleased and living in moment - the difference this time, is I'm not spending all day everyday, thinking about what to have for tea, or what's calling me from the cupboard. Getting rid of my sweet craving is liberating....

Sally I'm Seeing a lady in Leigh on sea, so not a million miles from you, she's very wholesome, down to earth and very relaxing to be in the company of......

Mummyhen, I'll PM you some info....

I posted about this a while ago & even got as far as booking an appointment with a local therapist, who has some very encouraging reviews, but I had to cancel at the last minute & have not got around to re booking

I think I will look into it again though!

You're not too far from me Cinammon and this is something I've been seriously considering for a while. Please would you mind sharing the details of the practitioner you're looking at?

Hi guys, just thought you may like an update.

I think I am doing ok :D I've lost 2 dress sizes and just under 3 stone :D:D:D:D:D

Not the fastest weight loss, obvious not as fast as a real band, but that doesn't bother me. I can hand on heart say I've not for a moment thought I was on a diet, dont think about food all day, and really eat what I want.

She did stop my craving for sweet things and help me with my worst times of the day which is 4pm for me.

It's been the easiest weight loss for me, and now she's taught me how to tighten it myself should I feel the need.

So all in all feeling quite postive!

Thanks everyone....... i'm feeling quite good at the moment...

Ann

Sometimes the cause of the overeating has to be treated before any type of weightloss will be perminant. Sadly I understand how hard that it...

Could he not use his LL money for some therapy instead????
