Chicken boarders

I've got one item for inlaws (horrendous to buy for) that is showing as arrived at Scottish distribution centre at 04.18 on the 17th and that's as far as the tracking goes. No problem if it doesn't arrive though as they can wait for it.

I missed the note in with the paperwork that said an item was missing and they had refunded me. They haven't!

 

I love shopping via the internet, but it is times like this, that I regret not going to a shop.

 

Hope everyone's parcels turn up!

 

 

 

I took a chance and ordered from cornwall last tuesday afternoon after I flew back from dublin and it arrived today - I am a happy bunny as thats everything now! Hope all get sorted before the big day - the post office are doing a real push to get things out I believe which is good.

OH still waiting for his Amazon order via City Link couriers. This is my Christmas present from him.

 

OH has not had any luck phoning the couriers, either in a queue or not answering the phone. Amazon say he has to contact the couriers. OH is going to try contacting the couriers today.

 

Apparently the presents are small and yesterday DD let slip they were books so I am not sure why the order has to be delivered through a courier.

 

A bit off topic, I received a Christmas card on the 30th December from my Sis, posted 1st class from Nottingham on the 13th December.

Surely it is up to Amazon to check up with these couriers - they are a nightmare to contact if you are Joe public. I had a delivery of M & S wine I had ordered on 30th special offers - I was still in dressing gown! did not expect a delivery today,

I asked the CityLinks man why they were delivering my Amazon parcel as they insist on a signature, Royal Mail tend to leave it or I can pick it up locally. He said it depends on when the order is despatched who Amazon use and the likelyhood of it being delivered on time. He said they are not allowed to leave parcels even though RM are allowed

 

I am now waiting for 3 things all coming seperately so we will see when and how they arrive.

After giving up on my poor snow shovel, and the 3rd party not responding to emails, Amazon were really quick and efficient at issuing a refund. Well done them!!

 

I just have to find another shovel now...

OH's Amazon order has just been delivered. It was despatched on the 14th December. The packaging is quite battered but the contents are OK.

 

I now have my Christmas present. The River Cottage Diary 2011 and The essential Guide to Back Garden Self-Suficiency

I have had nothing but dissapointment from Amazon - I paid extra for fast delivery, which should have been by the 22nd Dec. I am still waiting for my parcel - and there is no tracking on it

 

I am amazed as firebox dispatched at the same time, received the parcel within 2 days - they even included some free sweets Lego was ordered online at new year - arrived today - so how come some can deliver anmd others cannot
