ClaireG
Do any of you know where i can get a cheap medic alert type bracelet from? The tablets i have been put on for my diabetes can cause hypos and it's also looking more likely that i will be put on insulin soon.
Christian
OH got his from - http://www.medicaltags.co.uk/ just sell the tags. www.medicalert.co.uk is the offical one, but you have to subscribe to the service and they update your medical records. docsquid
These are pretty cheap. Most others come up in the 25 to 35 quid bracket. There is a good selection available Here. The U-Tag came up best on The Gadget Show - it has a USB so you can potentially record more information on it.

I don't know how likely it is that I might be given penicillin without me or my family being asked so I have not got around to getting one. docsquid
I have a Medic Alert bracelet but rarely wear it as it can easily catch in machinery and so on. I've ordered one of those Medibands to see what they are like.

keyhole kate
Thanks to the original poster and those who contributed I have now ordered a band as I have been on anticoagulants for 12 years and never got round to getting anything primarily as I can only wear gold or silver and they are just so expensive I do carry my warning card in my purse though. Thank you ladies and any gentleman
