chickenlass
Was just wondering what the 2 big bolts in the top of the run were for.....then realised it was solar lights . Ha Ha...hadn't noticed them in the picture I feel a bit mean now as the rabbit was watching me assemble the Eglu and looking longingly at it...me thinks I am going to have to order him a Rablu. Linda
Those lovely neat stones will be all over the grass in no time! Have you seen how far chickens can propel stones when they're having a good scratch around! It's great fun watching their antics.

chickenlass
Something tells me you lot are having a laugh at my expense !!! You mean I should buy the rabbit some goggles to protect his eyes from low flying pebble dash. Ah well hey ho!! I'll frame this picture so I can recall what a garden looked like a few months from now. [/img]

red
How exciting chickenlass And don't despair about your lawn there are ways of preserving it - provided you keep them on a permenant base of bark or auboise or similar and have/make some nice interesting areas for them to scratch around in there is hope for your lawn yet. I have lots of hedges around the edge of my garden and my girls spend most of the day scratching around under them. They do go on the lawn for some prize pickings and a bit of greenery but largely they save their destructive behaviours for the shrub borders. However, if you intend to keep your eglu on the lawn and move it around in the hope of keeping it green then you can definately wave goodbye to it now.
